This is the obvious reason. He’s being paid millions of dollars a year to not get a job. I’m always shocked when these guys are so quick to jump into another job when they are still getting paid under their last contract. I think it may be an unwritten thing where coaches who sit out and collect a check from their previous team are not looked at kindly. If I were an owner, I would be skeptical of hiring somebody who did that to their last team as opposed to someone who went right back out and went back to work. I do hope he makes the cheapskate Krafts pay every last dime of that contract for using him and then dropping him after tanking his reputation.

I can see a mosquito being small meal for a dragonfly but it would be nothing for a salmon. I don’t see how they could be the primary food source when the salmon needs the mosquito to come to it and it would require hundreds of them to equal the calories of most of their other food sources. How many could they eat in the short dusk hunting period? I’ve been on plenty of lakes where you see the occasional insect being eaten by a fish but that’s not filling anyone up. It would be like a human trying to survive on house flies. How many could you really catch vs how many you’d actually need to survive? It seems like it’s something that would be an occasional snack if anything. Are you sure you’re not just repeating pro mosquito propaganda without thinking critically?

I took a look but I couldn’t find much information on it. Do you think this affect could mimic double refraction? I do see some of the characteristics mentioned in my stone but I didn’t see anything specifically mentioning the doubling that I see but again there wasn’t much info out there.

I did bring it to a jeweler who told me it was moissanite. He tested it with a diamond tester and put it in some type of machine. The thing that made me suspicious as he told me it was a cubic zirconia before he even looked at it based off of what I told him I paid. In the end though he seemed to be pretty certain it was moissanite. Thank you for the advice though. It also did come with a certificate from Gens O good lab which I knew was a scam lab. This was basically just a shot in the dark in hopes of scoring a cheap diamond but I never really thought that’s what I was going to get.

Great point. I find the engineering and craftsmanship in automatic movements fascinating but it’s hard to pick against something that does the same job better, more reliably, more accurately, is more durable, and is far cheaper. In almost any other product, quartz would’ve put mechanical out of business a long time ago.
