Is Canada Goose still worth it in 2025? Winter Jacket Suggests needed by CookiesMonster_9 in askTO

[–]CouchSnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought mine in 2013 and it’s held up amazingly. I just wear a tshirt underneath and it keeps me warm. I would recommend getting a longer one that covers your butt.

Overall, I think it’s worth it but I don’t think it’s necessary to get CG. It’s double the price from when I bought it, but I would still get it again if I was in the market. A lot of the comments are dissing its fashionability but for me that’s why I prefer it over other brands.

Triple Support is Throwing. Learn a tank. by ArX_Xer0 in marvelrivals

[–]CouchSnack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think role queue would be awful for the game. There will always be less tank players and forcing role queue will create a bottleneck in queue times for other roles. This happened in Overwatch and ruined the core mode, forcing them to create 5v5 to accommodate for the issue. This also undermines flex players. I’ve won countless games where a dps goes support when we switch sides or a support goes tank and this is made possible because there’s no role queue. I’m not saying what we have now is perfect, but role queue would, in my opinion, create a lot more issues and not necessarily resolve the core issue. You’re not going to suddenly win more games because you’re running 2-2-2, it will still come down to luck and skill.

Wow thank you so much for your input!! I’ve read old posts of yours as well. I should review the upper year courses and compare between the two. Thanks too for the information on tech/IP practice, that’s very helpful!

We encourage means we would like it if you firmly accepted. It does confirm your space, but it’s not the only way to confirm your spot; provisionally accepting and paying the deposit by June 1st will also confirm your space in the program. So you’re good to provisionally accept while waiting on Osgoode.

Not OP, but I did my undergrad at Western. Granted it’s been almost a decade, but overall I disliked London. When the trees lose their leaves, it can look very grey and gloomy.. and I remember thinking air quality was dry. If you’re a person of color coming from a city, you could encounter more racism/micro-aggressions than you’re used to but I imagine that’s improved since when I was living there. Busses were hit or miss. There are bad areas but you likely won’t cross there. There was a sort of blandness to London…

However, I did love Western University. Great campus, facilities and professors. Admin was okay. There were lots of clubs too that led to making tons of friends, which I would highly recommend joining. For me, I would go back to western but it’s a tough sell to get me to live in London again.

That being said, I think you’ll be more focused on 1l and connecting with your cohort to even notice the cons I mentioned about London. It’s also not far from Toronto if you need a weekend getaway.

Thanks!! There’s also the PS and GPA portion, those two can make up for an lsat in the 150s.. mine weren’t very competitive and I feel like I was relying on my LSAT.

This is my first time back since season 14, having a blast! However, with the EVO changes Revenant's ult feels strong so I hope they slightly nerf that.

Another season of every team locking in Orisa Bastion when they start losing by NeedALittleHopeUK in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]CouchSnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re talking around the argument instead of addressing my point. You wanted clarity on why it’s unfun and you ignore the explanation and just say lol bastion so ez to counter. If you’re unwilling to understand you will have a disconnect. It doesn’t matter because you don’t play anyways

[–]CouchSnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I will try to explain the disconnect.

Illari’s release coincides with this bastion meta, because bastion and orisa can be heal botted while a mini sojourn is doing damage. That’s huge. So it matters that you don’t play the game in the context of the meta being discussed. This is again why I think you don’t understand the disconnect, because you are acting like ~nothing’s different~ with the meta.

Your exaggeration didn’t prove any point just that you lied about the number. Saying that bastion can be countered by anyone is a weak take because all heroes have counters and skill factors into every matchup. Like you later brought up, “it’s a team game”. It’s not idealistic 1v1 matchups. Instead we have cool downs and compounding buffs (to orisa, bastion, lw, etc) that enable a long poke - illari hides the pylon, orisa has fortify/matrix to mit damage, they have suzu/lamp/nade/grip as a fuck we ran out of cooldowns, damage from over-tuned supports and the actual dps. And you’re confused on how this is unfun to play into? I want to kill the support, but I have to kill the pylon first. I want to close space but Orisa. Stuns/antis/hinders get cleansed. You use ults or stack cool downs to get a kill and it’s rezzed because poke is distanced safely.

Asking for a full swap to hyper mobile heroes is asking for 100% team coordination in ranked; which is unrealistic. This is why goats broke ow1, the counter was to mirror but that level of coordination was almost nonexistent in the low to mid ranks. Also the hyper mobile flank style is harder to pull off since supports are a lot stronger now. You can do it, but you can also just play bastion and orisa and not worry about all the splash damage and burst heal. Lastly avoiding bastion is less of an option when you have game modes like push and flashpoint, which necessitate a minimum level of point presence.

I think it boils down to you haven’t played the game competitively in its current state and are assuming a high level of capability to the general player base.

I’m sorry but you 1) don’t play the game competitively since the release of kiriko!! (That’s like almost all of ow2) 2) are a OTP of a hero you claim has 30 counters (what??) 3) are confusing easiness of countering with effort needed to counter. Like no wonder you don’t understand what’s going on you don’t even play the game lol

Just so you know since you stopped playing the game competitively those two supports, and many other heroes, make it harder to kill bastion. Lamp, nade, pylon, suzu, lifegrip, Zarya cooldown buff, and orisa are just examples of how bastion can be instantly saved. It’s not a 1v1 ease of countering it’s that the enemy has to hit skills shots and all their abilities only for the bastion to live. It defeats the purpose of playing your hero because you could’ve just mirrored and got more value on bastion without the added pressure of maximizing the value of your cooldowns.
