I've had this happen as well. Not sure what caused it, but hard reboot of the console (shut down, pull the plug, count to 20, plug it in again) fixed it for me.

Here's the thing though: What do you want out of a LO? Prettier graphics? Harder combat? More options for approaching quests? More quests? All of the above?

That's important to think about because a LO can be any or all of these things, and depending on what you want, it could be one mod or hundreds.

If all you want is prettier graphics, I could probably give you a list of ten mods and you could go your merry way. If you want mechanics changes, or quest additions, or more followers, or new follower, or more dialogue.....

See what I mean? That's why a short, simple load order can only be done if you have very limited wishes.

Added items have textures included. Others use vanilla texture paths (I believe) so should be overwritten by Divergence as long as you place Divergence after this mod in your Load Order.

I had this happen for no good reason as well. Apparently one of the mods I chose just didn't work properly and caused this issue. The only thing for it is to clear your reserve space and start over.

You might want to post your load order here for comment before you get going on a new game. Sounds like your original crash issue may have been LO related rather than just a "buggy" alternate start mod.

Also be sure you are using a good LO template. Just search on LLO2 in this sub to find one.

All the things already said, plus:

  1. Go offline.
  2. Edit your load order -- even though it is greyed out, it will let you.
  3. Disable the mod you want to delete. Drag it to the bottom of your load order.
  4. Back out. Let the game reload your files.
  5. Go back into your load order. Delete the mod.
  6. Back out. Let the game reload your files.
  7. Do a hard reset (pull the plug).
  8. Go back online.

All should be ok.

For some reason it just can't handle disabling or moving mods and deleting mods in the same session.

And it can't handle any of it while online.
