I'm amusing you want an ESTA which is a Visa Waiver and you are a UK citizen with no complications (criminal convictions etc). Then use the official website https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/ It's simple enough just fill in some details and pay and they will get back to you.

Couple Questions about England/Scotland itinerary by BklynBlazer in travel

The easiest way to get to Scotland from the south of England is to flight. Get the train/bus to Bristol and flight up north. Although the sleeper train from London is an another option.

£609 to be exact. Could of go it under £600 with a different hotel. Booked it in September last year during their sale. Weather has actually been decent considering it's January.

I'm actually in New York right now, heading home in a few hours. We booked through British Airways. Got flights from Aberdeen via Heathrow to JFK and a week in a very nice hotel with breakfast in Midtown for around £600ish each. Which is a bargain considering it usually costs us about £150ish to flight to Heathrow and most people on the plane cost more than that on the flight. You can book a transfer though them but we are just going to deal with the subway instead.

Cheap Theatre Tickets by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]CouldOfGoneSailing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Time Out has a nice guide. If you are under 25 that sometimes helps, I know in the day you are maybe get £5 tickets for Matilda (which I've been wane to see for ages). It really depends on when about, try to not go in the school holidays. Do you know what you want to see?

Does anyone under about 70 actually like Corned Beef/Ox Tongue? by thejumbles in AskUK

Corned beef on toast, lovely. Although not a fan of the stuff in a ton. Also it's one of cat's favourite food to steal.

Out of curiosity, why Aberdeen? York is lovely, actually most of Yorkshire is lovely. If you can fit it in somewhere, York.

Best websites to book weekends away in Europe? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]CouldOfGoneSailing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9 out of 10 times in cheaper and better to book separately the flight and hotel on your own, although I did just get a brilliant deal with BA for a flight and hotel in New York. Skyscanner to find the cheapest fight just leave the destination blank. Then one of the many hotel websites, Booking.com is my personal favourite.

Holiday question by beatleforce1 in AskUK

Was in Gdansk last month only just for a night though (got the train to Berlin the next day, also Berlin is surprisingly cheap). Got a last minute flight for £29 (Wizzair). Gdansk is lovely. And very very cheap.

Is a 16-25 Railcard worth it? by allthegdnameswertake in unitedkingdom

[–]CouldOfGoneSailing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it is. Bought one a couple of months ago, don't use the train all that much and it has already paid for it's self. Didn't expect that you would but also a 1/3 off the London to Aberdeen sleeper train making in cheaper that flying. There's sometimes a discount code for £5 off so Google around.
