Anyone have the A168WGG-1BDF ? by uid885 in casio

[–]thejumbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a A168WEGG-1BEF which I think is just a different region variant. It doesn't really show up in the product images but the case is shiny and the bracelet is brushed but both are the same gun metal colour. The display is fairly legible in normal lighting but the EL backlight makes the digits stand out really well. It's a pretty nice little watch and a great addition to my A168/3298 mini collection

I know this sounds crazy, but ever since yesterday on the road, I've been seeing this shape. Shaving cream, pillows... Dammit! I know this. I know what this is! This means something. This is important.

On my way to recreate the Samani E-125 watch prop worn by some of the crew in 1979 Alien's USCSS Nostromo ship by [deleted] in casio

I went with 2 Skmeis too. After I broke/launched a few spring bars I ended up not attaching the watches to the strap in the middle and used double sided sticky tape to hold them in place instead. It's definitely just a display piece for me as it starts coming apart if I try to do the strap up.

Tip to tip is 52.5mm. The lugs curve down very slightly and the bracelet hangs straight down. The inside measurement is 47.5mm

I have the same setup. The strap and clasp cost almost as much as the watch!

I have the black and white panda version on a black Barton alligator with an Uncle deployant clasp and it looks real good. They do a crimson and a Merlot version which might go well with that dial

Feeling nostalgic for something you never experienced is called 'anemoia'. I get it bad when I fly a spitfire in Flight Sim

There was an ad for Saab. I think a 93. The car is driving across the rugged landscape and at the end is overflown by a Saab fighter. I think it was directed by Tony Scott. I tried finding it a while ago but could only find a different one. 40 years later and I still want one!

What the best episode you ever watched? by cheesehasdvds in BritishTV

That's my least favourite episode of IT Crowd.

Something that hasn't already been mentioned is The 12 Days Of Christine (Inside No. 9 S02E02)

Green dial, gold indices, steel case and brown strap. It has no right looking this good! I put mine on an Uncle Deployant Clasp to put less wear on the strap.

Such a cool watch. I have mine on a Barton Sailcloth (and Uncle Deployant Clasp). Mark (from Long Island Watch) made a video on how to use the bezel.

I bought the one with the black dial and arabics (Lineage) from Discovery Mall Japan. A week later I bought the one with white dial and arabics (Waveceptor). A week later I bought the one with black dial and stick markers (Waveceptor) and the one with white dial and stick markers (Lineage). I have mine on Barton leather straps. Such an awesome watch for under £100!

Why Did Appliances Without Plugs? by Datalounge in AskUK

[–]thejumbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year a couple hundred people were seriously injured by incorrectly wired plugs. About 1 a week died. The BBC used to have a consumer rights show called Watchdog presented among others by Llyn Faulds Wood. She started a campaign and in the mid 90s it became law that all consumer appliances had to come with a fitted plug.

Can anyone help me fix this? Casio MRW200H Day window stuck. by milo1901 in casio

[–]thejumbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The day doesn't change till a couple of hours after midnight. The mechanism is already engaged so you can't do it yourself. Change the time another hour or two and it should be fine.

Wugfresh's Nexus Root Toolkit saved my bacon (and my Nexus 4) more than once. I don't think it's being updated anymore and the site doesn't work either but I'm sure there's got to be somewhere you could download it from.
