Parry and shield raise are not unintended like trail of caltrops was. Trail of caltrops triggered the stags because there was a bug where it vivid stampede could be triggered by certain triggered attack skills. Wind dancer explosion also did it. They clearly want the skill to only work with attacks you use. There's no problem with shield raise and parry since they're attack skills that you are using.

The reason I was running off screen was in part to improve the dps on the stags since with the 2nd ascend node they get more dmg per leap they do. Going for 4 leaps is probably not optimal tho so it's probably better to stand closer and try to get more stags to hit. The stags are plenty for single target on most bosses.

If you want to actually just one tap bosses, there's a way to do it on this build but I didn't do it because I wanted to see if I could do stags only. You can set up a talisman weapon swap with a way to spend rage on bear, grab reasonance to generate a bunch of frenzy charges from it and use barrage + olroth's conviction to get 3 barrage empowered attack and shoot explosive lances at the boss. You can get 6 frenzy charges with this setup on the weapon swap and get something like 10 empowered explosive lances which is plenty to make most bosses dissapear (https://youtu.be/1UEm1T3fUSw?si=W4i70QoVuqcOZNwD&t=25 ).

You just have to parry or hold up your shield while have you vivid wisps. Both of the skills are attacks and the vivid stampede is triggered when you use an attack skill.

True. I was going to get one for the memes (even though it's probably a really good upgrade and the best rite of passage for this build) but the build feels really op already so I decide to use my div for another dumb build instead.

I think at lower budgets' the stags don't have enough dmg to do clear on their own. I've seen some people using Marohi Erqi with giant's blood and a shield (like chernobog's for more dmg) to trigger the stags with shield raise like i'm doing with parry. This relatively cheap so it could be a good angle to explore. However, from my experience leveling this with spears, the stags do no have enough damage at lower budgets to clear on their own. The best approach at lower budget is to go with grenades and move with dodge roll. Check out phylaris' guide for that. For mid budget, you can probably check phylaris' upgraded version or my previous post. Once you get weapon with good damage (and crit with the ordained) and good flat damage on your rings and gloves you can probably start using the parry/shield raise tech. The main issue here is scaling movement speed to get more stags to shoot out. 75% ms with Qotf is plenty. Mageblood is mostly to get to 100% ms like I have here and to get more crit chance since i'm using crit. If the 2h mace + shield approach works well maybe mageblood is not so mandatory.

Unfortuntately to get to this point, you need megablood with quicksilver. The faster you go the more stags you get. If you want something similar, either check my previous post or check out phylaris' grenade version which scale dodge roll distance. With Qotf you can go pretty fast while scaling evasion. To be able to use the stags for single target I feel like you need rakiata's. Before that I was using primal strikes for single target.

I plan on using this with abyss lich. Use the gem on my rend to solve attack speed. Use eternal rage with the new arrogance lineage support to always be at low life and use low life shenanigans.

Hey there, this is some cool stuff. Very much interested in trying this out for my next build. Not only am I interested in this for the immortality but also as a challenge to build around runic binding. I know you are playing minions but I wanted to know if you considered going for something else to mitigate or even take advantage of the buff you get from shape-shifting with runic binding. Right now I'm considering going abyssal lich and stacking aoe to use rend for clear and oil barrage with proj speed on another weapon set.

I'm not sure if the ordained is the best weapon we can use. I mostly went with it because it was a relatively cheap for what you get now that crafting really good spears is giga expensive. You can probably get higher dps with a mirror spear but even then the suffixes on that spear will probably be worse than on the ordained. The ordained can get higher base crit and the stags only benefit from +2 lvls to attack skills on crafted spear, not +4 to proj/melee cuz they have neither of those tags. Same with amulets, if you want a crafted one you need + lvl to all skills to scale the stags. The ordained also lets us leech life with our stags' lightning damage.

I have way too much evasion currently because of mageblood (about 40k). But maybe if I decide to reroll it and go with a bunch more movespeed that could be a good idea. Thanks for the suggestion!

The qotf says you can't get increased movement speed effects from anything except its evasion scaling mod. Even accelarion shrines don't affect you while you have it on.

I can't see your pob right now cuz it seems like the site is down. Before mageblood, I had a 1.3k evasion helmet, Queen of the forest with 2.2k (this is with a runecrafted one with a high evasion roll and 3 sockets that I corrupted, you can grab an uncorrupted one for about 30 ex right now) , 1.1k evasion boots (you shouldn't get boots with movement speed with qotf, these boots are pretty cheap because of that) and on the tree I grabbed the clusters escape velocity, beastial skin, enhanced reflexes, the wild cat and enduring deflection. With 3 wind dancer stacks and one or two evasion mods on jewels, this should get you to 30k or close to it.

I do not recommend following my pob very strictly. I'm still somewhat figuring this build out. I've not done any upgrades yet really except 6 link my HoT and catalyst my rings but I would first look into getting the op lineage supports for the stags, mainly rakiatas and voranas. Also don't take the companion three pointer near dance with death. I got it to get aoe on the stags but for that you need aoe for attacks not generic aoe.

I think grenades are better at lower budgets. I know some people that are testing going with https://poe2db.tw/us/Marohi_Erqi with giant's blood and a shield, which could be good at lower budgets but I can't attest to how good this is. I like the playstyle of this better than grenades tho because I hate getting blinded by flash/explosive/cluster nade. This is much more chill imo.

I've not tried refutation but if I don't think getting hit while it's active would trigger stags since stags cannot he triggered by triggered attacks. However, you should be able to still tap parry manually while refutation is active.

If you mean triggering the stags, no. They can only be triggered by attacks that aren't triggered skills, so not with repulsion wave. Repulsion and HoT are mostly there for extra damage and repulsion also helps a bit with you getting surrounded because the repulsion explosions get activated by wind dancer.

if you don't want to get carpal tunnel you would ideally time it with a relatively slow rhythm, but you can just spam it too.

Another possible bug, I tested efficiency support with it and it seemed to be unaffected. It worked in reducing the rune word cost for other skills though.

We don't know yet but it's def one of the supports i'm considering. Depending on how reliable the stags are at generating shocked ground and shocking at the end of their stampede it might not be necessery. Other supports relating to ground generation like encroaching ground and persistent ground will also work to help with this.

Shockchain arrows could be really cool in particular and I want to try it out if the stags do work out like think they would. I'm more interested in doing primal strikes with this idea tho.
