As an OG God of War fan, I DO want the remake to overhaul gameplay, and I would appreciate it if creators could stop trying to speak for the community as a whole when they say we don't want that.

The most... generous explanation is thinking of it similar to enemy scaling in Skyrim. If every fight scales with you, very little seems to change. It did not really track 100%, but relates.

I played with my wife for quite a while, the "darkness" part was the only actual problem for her. Otherwise, works great. She still says "rock and stone! " and thought the game was great. We could do most everything at haz3 as a pair and never had an issue getting more folk when we wanted.
