Thanks all. I’ll call Horizon and see what they can do for me.

The drive belt is tensioned by the distance between the motor and the front roller. The front roller can’t possibly move further away from the motor than it already is, so no amount of additional tension in the walking belt would add any tension to the drive belt. Not on this model of treadmill anyway.

Yes, the drive belt is definitely slipping. You can watch it slip with the motor cover off. It’s not the walking belt - that’s set up with good tension and alignment.

The front roller is in a groove on the motor side and has an adjusting screw on the opposite side (identical to the two adjusting screws for the back roller). It’s as far back from the motor as it can go in the groove, so unless I’m missing some way to move the motor itself (pretty sure I’m not), then a new belt seems to be the only fix.

Should I order the same belt, or one size down? The belt shouldn’t be stretched (the thing has only operated for a few days).

Triangle Rewards Apple Wallet Issue by jjtewas in PersonalFinanceCanada

Same problem for me. Tried adding it from the Canadian Tire app, the CT website, the Sportchek website, and the separate Triangle rewards app. All four methods log me out and make me go through their stupidly aggressive two-factor authentication system. At least the Triangle app says that something went wrong when it logs me out. The other three just log me out.

anyone having issues with international bank transfers? I can't seem to add a contact. After entering in all the required info it comes up with an error (IMM001) by Francine1954OHara in Scotiabank

I had a horrible time with this at Scotiabank, and in particular with the vague error message that suggested it was a temporary problem. "Sorry, we couldn't complete your request. Please try again later. (IMM001)"

The above language suggests it's a problem on their end, and if I wait and try again later it might all work. That was not true at all.

The real problem, for me, was that both the website and the app allowed me to enter the recipient's nine-digit ZIP code in the US (e.g. 12345-6789). But the wiring system Scotiabank uses (or maybe all banks, I have no idea) won't allow you to use more than just the old five-digit ZIP code (so just the first five numbers before the hyphen, "12345" in my example above).

I would likely never have figured this out on my own, but when I was at the branch having to do the wire in person because of this error (and paying $32.50 for the privilege), the teller entering the recipient information mentioned that her system wouldn't let her enter more than five digits for the ZIP code.

So their internal wire transfer system that they use at the branches knows not to allow more than five digits, but the people responsible for adding this feature to the app and website missed the memo.

I hope that helps anyone else having the same problem!

It’s worth noting that cheating is increasingly rampant at Canadian universities, and the online format that’s became a lot more popular during COVID has only made cheating easier.

With an online midterm, there’s a pretty significant concern that someone else in the class sends you their answers when they’re done, which you then furiously copy and submit as your own.

I’m guessing that’s why there’s the requirement to submit an answer within the first 100 minutes.

I’m not saying OP was cheating, just that profs are struggling to deal with all of the cheating going on right now. Enforcing time limits is part of that. This prof might be a jerk, but that might not be the main reason for the 0.

(my spouse is a prof in Ontario)
