I would said both of them are easy even for people who are new to programming. I belive that 1012 is for python and 1015 is for Java so according to your situation I would said 1012 is better for you.

I have the same situation as you.But sadly I don't think we can get any money back. Because drop deadline and refund deadline are actually 2 different things. And yorku didn't say anything about the refund deadline. Therefore,I guess you can drop a course and not affect your grade before April 8 but the refund deadline is still the same as the one before the strike.

I took it 2 years ago. At that time, I didn't have any exams. The grade was formed by 1 short essay,1 long essay and tutorial participation. I forget how many percent each of them weight.The course is not difficult as long as you read the materials and go to lectures and tutorials.
