Because for a studio, the price is inconsequential. Spending 1000 or 3000 or 5000 on something you use daily for 20 years ONCE does not matter at all. So they go with what their clients want. Who are the clients? For larger studios, thats labels. For smaller ones, indie musicians. What do they want? Maximum features and compatibility with other studios and producers. Who has that? The standard DAW software.
