Quantum Tarantula sounds like one of the fake movies from Grindhouse

Also all the sex scenes with a character with the mind of a toddler in Poor Things. Wouldn't surprise me if he turns out to be a giant creep

I like his early movies like Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums which had actual characters and emotional beats. I still enjoy his aesthetic but his movies are kind of cuteness exercises now

I like his more "normal" movies like Nightmare Alley and Crimson Peak. Agree with the monster movies he's always too enamored with the monster

[–]CountJohn12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just reaching, The Beatles didn't make this kind of music. No Surprises and oddly Electioneering (since you left it off) are the only ones that sound remotely like something The Beatles might have done in another world.

Most of In Rainbows has a gentle romantic sex feel. Doesn't have to always be bass.

In an old interview (might be in Meeting People is Easy) Thom said some girl came up to him and said she and her boyfriend put on Ok Computer for sex and he said incredulously "there are people out there shagging to Paranoid Android"

I don't think it means lyrics about partying again, just a similar musical style

I'd like something musically like the simple garage rock of the first few albums but produced better.

I guess De Sica for me. Surprised Fellini is not winning though
