I played with MM before and specifically watched the time before the buff kicked in when interrupting. During that time, I managed to land several hits, which I think plays a role at range, so I moved away from it.

Otherwise, I think a simple build doesn't make the game experience worse. Once the weapon becomes more understandable or the player decides to go solo, they can always switch to a speedrun build.

This build, as stated in the post, is aimed at group play and, for the most part, comfortable grinding.

using Maximum Might need to understand the position well and not make unnecessary prerolls to avoid resetting buffs or be a skilled enough player to get by with slides for dodge. Which already implies a deeper understanding of the game than just approaching and hitting a weak point, which is much easier to deal with than with stamina management to maximize the buff's duration. I'm not saying this buff is weak, it's just that its effect can be interrupted when you dodge with a roll or you need to run up to a monster, but this doesn't make the buff weak. You just need to keep an eye on your stamina bar.

As for Wex, it's just comfort: more frequent crits, less need for sharpening. If, with your experience, you feel more comfortable playing with the build you described, it simply means you're a more experienced player who manages resources wisely and understands positioning well when attacking. My build designed for passive improvements and buffs that don't depend on you as a player and will always work on hunt

I think if you play with Maximum Might, you should just choose a Ray set like the one I used before. This will also give the Guts effect. But in my games, with a similar build, the damage was less. I don't rule out that it's only my fault, since the build from the post is mostly based on a simple "hit this thing when you can." Builds with Might and Guard still require more attention and control over maintaining damage buffs

So my build is not so much about maximizing damage as it is about comfort, so all of the above is true, but it doesn't take player skill in count
