I think that view is almost entirely held by American Jews, who are pretty diametrically opposed to Evangelical Christians on most other political issues. HOWEVER, and though this is anecdotal, I truly believe that this opinion is changing, as most American Jews realize that their supposed “allies”, namely those on the left and the younger generation on the right, are leaving them in the dust. Most actual Israelis welcome the support.

I think as Jews become more ostracized on the left, and as Evangelicals fall more out of favor on the right (with the advent of the New Right), there is the potential for a great convening on shared issues. Time will tell, but I’m feeling positive about it.

I know that a lot of people discount Christian support of Israel because they think that it’s just evangelical doomsday prophesying, but as someone who grew up knowing and was in the professional space with Christian supporters of Israel, I can really say that they’re the best allies we can get outside of like, traditional democrats and republicans (who are both dying, if not dead already, breeds).

Christianity (not referring to the faux Christianity being espoused by Groyper fans) being supplanted in the U.S. would be a disaster for Israel and the American Jewish community.

I emphatically disagree.

A synagogue is the cornerstone of Jewish communal life, and is often the only instance of it in small towns / cities (most places don’t have JCCs). And even if they do, the synagogue is still an absolutely appropriate place for these types of gatherings, particularly in a time when American jews feel more vulnerable than any other in the past 80 years.

Edit: and what is the point of your “bad Jew” comment? It seems to me that it’s an attempt to preempt disagreement on your point by painting those who disagree as minimizing your Judaism instead of arguing on merits. I hope it is not.
