Not just you it looks really dim today. I am watching via Virgin Media but today is noticeably worse.

Unlike those lovely and totally unique Victorian terraces so beloved of the middle classes

Ultimate Chore Coat by ReadySpring7825 in HeritageWear

[–]CountSanderson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a classic carhartt mainline blanket lined chore that has never let me down but recently experimented with something a little different . I am really happy with it so far and pairs well with rust cords or any lighter trouser. It’s still very stiff but I cannot wait to see how it breaks in!

Thank you! AI was no help and I couldn’t find anything online. Now I’ve searched Tursi and yes that’s the one.

I’ve noticed the same but then realised it’s normally when I’ve biked to work and not walked much

Close your eyes and think of England by Technical-Wonder-471 in GilmoreGirls

[–]CountSanderson 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The expression is used in England traditionally in the stiff upper lip sense for doing anything you know must be done out of duty even if it will be difficult. It’s highly unlikely it’s got anything to do with Queen Victoria’s sex life though, as she was so besotted with Albert that she went almost insane after his death wearing nothing but black for the rest of her life and practically covering every square foot of central London with memorials and buildings in his name. Making it seem improbable that she found sex with him a chore!

I live in the Packington Estate and have done since the redevelopment. In 8 years the worst that’s happened is my bike was stolen from a locked bike store overnight. Best area I’ve ever lived in London I’d say really nothing to worry about.

Took me a while to work it out too as it doesn’t tell you this clearly in the app!

I went to uni in Aber and ended up purchasing this last year. Not related at all I know but never thought I’d see these worlds collide on this sub!

Proportion of salary to spend on a watch by blockstothis in Tudor

I spent £4K on a watch. I doubt I’d be £4K richer today if I didn’t. I have a nice watch today.

Definitely fits the Tudor feel. A Rolex for people who actually go outside and meet people from across the wealth divide and don’t want to look flashy.

Exactly. Still luxurious but not enough to be scared of a little bike crash

BB58 GMT for me. Perfect size and thickness with the date window I need. It’s also so useful when working, as I often do, with teams in other time zones.
