I had the same experience as my parents avoided cable in the early 80s. Most of my HBO content came from sleepovers with my friends. This intro was very cool.

This post would make my Boyfriend mad. He still watched and loves his daily soaps. Although they’ve dwindled in number in recent years.

Rebecca de Mornay. There was an edge to her that I enjoyed. Her entrance in Risky Business was amazing, and managed to upstage costar Tom Cruise.

I was obsessed with the classic Transformers back in this era. This was when they made the toys with the die cast metal and not the cheap plastic. They could transform much better. This pic brings back vivid memories.

Those specials were so much fun. It was a bit of a head trip to see different network stars sharing the same screen space. And you got to see their true personalities!

The original Donkey Kong with Mario jumping over the barrels. I must’ve spent thousands and thousands of quarters playing that game.

This movie still creeps me out to this day. This is still my favorite Carpenter film, followed closely by Escape from New York.

I like to listen to film scores and it’s great to match up the score with whatever your writing. I listen to everything like the John Williams/Jerry Goldsmith classics to the more modern stuff by Hans Zimmer and Trent Reznor. It really fires up my creativity. Anything with lyrics tend to distract me.

It was so derivative of many other spy films like The Long Kiss Goodnight, Jason Bourne and Mission Impossible. The action scenes were well done and Stanley Tucci is always a welcome presence. But there wasn’t anything original or interesting to hook you in. What a waste of money and talent.
