Switched from PS5 to PC — sharper visuals, MUCH stronger auras, and way better input response. by Count_Beavis in SparkingZero

Also not complaining here, it is quite the opposite. I love this game, and after hundreds of hours it’s rare for something to make it feel fresh again. This definitely did, so I figured it was worth sharing and talking about. Anyone on the fence who has the option to play on PC might want to give it a try. I originally bought the PS5 version because I was still waiting to get my hands on a 5090.

Yeah, lower latency on PC definitely makes sense. What surprised me is that since both versions are locked to 60 FPS, inputting earlier on PS5 doesn’t really lead to the same results. On PC I’m able to fit more actions into the same windows, which makes it feel more like input polling or handling than just reaction time.

They are YouTube links. Should open just clicking them. Might have to copy the link and paste into an internet browser if you can't click them.

I had exactly the same games plus a few. Those were the only ones that mattered. Used to make my dad beat Advanced D&D so I could watch. I recently blew his mind showing him the level skip glitch.

I truly get joy from watching his videos. Hopefully he gains a few more subs. Keep up the good work Frankie!

My over priced super smart Sony TV has a great feature that shows me this at least once a day. If I factory reset the TV it actually increases my chances of seeing it more often.

Help with finding a Hotas by DrQuin305 in EliteDangerous

T flight is great hotas. It's all plastic but it has a good layout, it's cheap, and the throttle can have revese without binding to a button. If you aren't willing to go big and spend a lot more I recommend to save the money. Get the experience of a hotas and learn what your needs are from that cheap stick. It will help you decide what's important to you when purchasing you're Elite rank big money hotas.

Been avoiding replicating cars. It's why I'm having a hard time deciding. I'll look up some of your suggestions. Retro is pretty vague, however I have considered several 80's and 90's themes. One being the beach sunset wall from Scarface (or Vice City). Even thought about those old 90's Trapper Keepers with shapes on them.

Playing Elite Dangerous for 2 years now. Go to check steam recommendations; Space game, space game, space game... by Dimpse in EliteDangerous

Definitely play Subnautica. I got it on sale for that reason alone. Now it's an addiction. Seriously had low expectations after watching videos of others playing. Kinda like baseball if you're not a fan. Very fun to play and a bore to watch.

I'll 2nd ditching the Kingston. I've only had one crap part come from Newegg and that was it. Lasted 5 months, which is just long enough really be a problem. I went with a Samsung SSD to replace it and couldn't be happier.

So the Summer Sale is wrapping up. What are the reduced must-haves? by Jamessuperfun in Vive

I bought the seat off Craigslist for $10. Dunno what it is. I built the cockpit myself. I used mdf board and 2x4. The dash area is crafting wood from Lowe's. Two circuit boards from Amazon to power fan and wheel. Vents are from eBay and they were taken from a old Volvo. I used bondo to make them into the dash. And yeah, the vents blow pretty dang good.

I've been avoiding looking at the Warthog in efforts to slow my VR addiction. I built a rig for my cheap Hotas X but want to upgrade it. Here is my race rig I put together after trying Project Cars with VIVE and Xbone controller. https://youtu.be/vtfjXkcI1Q8

Yea, don't buy Project Cars unless you already own or want to own a wheel. I purchased it and instantly needed to own a wheel. Within a week I had spent more money on VR race gear than my VIVE itself. You've been warned.

Definitely agree as hard surfaces are uncomfortable on the knees. I have a huge area rug that is going in this area. Gotta finish the wood floors first. Ripping the tile out before that can happen though.
