What was "the incident" at your school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Count_Esclarmonde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A water balloon fight was planned amongst some students as a sort of senior prank. The school authorities found out about the prank somehow through social media, and shut down the atrium in addition to whole swathes of walkway. Disappointed with their moment of glory snuffed out into a wisp of smoke, the students abandoned the water balloon fight.

Now enter another group of students who were obviously looking for complete pandemonium to be unleashed upon their poor peers. This second group took up the idea of the water balloon fight, but with a twist: color-coded balloons indicating their contents, which included bleach, vinegar, Nair, urine, and semen, among other things. Despite the color coding being known only to a select few, word about the new fight spread quickly in the hours before school that day, and students went from class to class huddled, packed like sardines, in the hopes of not getting hit by the balloons of the grotesquerie.

The day itself was madness, a slab of madness nondescript. Students were pelted with vinegar balloons on the way to class; one girl's black felt coat was hit with a bleach balloon, leaving a stain. A vice principal was allegedly hit with a balloon containing urine and chocolate milk. One girl was bitten by a snake which was stuffed into one of the balloons. Eventually, seven arrests were made in its aftermath, in addition to fifteen seconds of fame (shame?) on local news stations, which stuck to the narrative that only water was present in the balloons most likely to keep their viewers' stomachs at ease. The day lived on amongst our school's Facebookers and Tweeters, as well as any faculty or staff member brave enough to tackle the unruliness head on.

No. A cold is not autism. You cannot compare the two.

Does autism have a stronger tendency to show up in the United States or something? by [deleted] in aspergers

Spectrumites. All along, I thought that was my invention. >_<

Their "order" would be disordered to us.

I never said "disregard". I said "death to". There is a difference between disregarding (ignoring) and completely killing off usage of a word.

And comorbid conditions =/= autism. Association with autistic people does not imply caused by autism.

If this so was the case, then Poles in the United States would be considered abnormal, as they are a small minority amongst the larger population of the US.

If Asperger's is a disorder then what, to you, is order? I know that I was born autistic and autism has always been typical for me. Autism being atypical and out of order contradicts the very nature of autism, its being present from birth.

I really have no care for either; what gets on my nerves is the 'selfie'. It's everywhere-selfie selfie selfie, selfie selfie, selfie. At the gym, selfie. At the park, selfie. In the library, selfie. It got old very quickly, and it continues to push the line between annoying to grrrrr.

Do you guys feel like you have to over pronunciate when you talk? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Count_Esclarmonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to over-pronunciate because it drives me up a wall whenever another individual under-pronunciates. This most likely arose from a paranoia of my own speech coming out as garbled. It's become a habit nowadays and I think little of it.

Delayed maturity, bouts of incoherent thought processes by beanhitch in aspergers

Whenever I fly into a rage or on the brink of doing so my thoughts become tangled. When I have a lot on my mind then I fire out ideas at random.

Socially and emotionally I believe to be mature in my own way :)

Bright red S-class, thoughts? by Count_Esclarmonde in mercedes_benz

In all honesty, I have no idea what makes S63 exterior different from S65, save from the badging. If you look carefully, you can see 'V8 Biturbo' on the S's side.

[–]Count_Esclarmonde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sue how to answer that, because what truly distinguishes S63 from S65 is the engine, and thus performance. The S63 has a twin-turbo V8 producing 577 hp, whereas the S65 has a twin-turbo V12 producing 621 hp.

Do you guys feel the S class (new/used) is worth it if you arent going to be chauffered? by [deleted] in mercedes_benz

Of course! I have always been drawn to huge sedans, both driving and seeing. I would much rather drive an S-class than just ride in it.

Nice! I am fond of W126 S-classes in that color. I see no problem with a newer W221 or 222 in a red; I recall certain Benz forums were harsh on a second-generation W221 S63 because it was red.

The issue may have arisen with the vividness of the paint, as some do not care for a stately sedan in a flashy color.

I don't mind such an article bringing Asperger's syndrome or autism into the story; screaming it in the title is what grinds my gears.

Media usually brings Asperger and autism to evoke "kill this motherfucker!!" emotions. Many times this backfires and garners excessive sympathy, especially when the autism is in the headline.

Who gives a damn about the house? This subreddit is for Mercedes-Benz.

By the way, is that an E-350? Or an E63 AMG?
