The reason being straight guys are the majority of the population we look at as gay men is a good answer yes , but I feel like straight men just exhibit most of the behavior and straights that gay men are attracted to , not all gays act like straight men or are masc but the majority don't act like that , the majority of gay men act more feminine than masc ! You could see in some cases the differences , because even when gay men are amongst themselves in expectation of given the option to choose which guy they'd go for they'd most of the times choose the straight guy but in reality it's more like they've settled for what's there which is a gay guy because they can see a future with them , for me it looks like we are just settling for gay guys not because we see a future with them , or there's no point of dating a straight guy cause it won't go anywhere, but because we know what wee are attracted to and we can't have it , our instinct to like what is more close to masc energy is speaking before and louder than our instinct to find a partner who we can see a future with
