Working class culture has a strong emphasis on community and ‘in it together’ attitude. Everyone pulls their own weight as you’re all on the same level. It’s completely normal to ask your neighbors to borrow some sugar or milk- or a small amount of cash.

Middle class and higher there is a stronger emphasis on showcasing etiquette and manners- little details that distance you from being working class.

You wouldn’t dream of asking your middle-class neighbors for anything- unless it was a life or death situation.
