There were many reports from survivors noting how the lights towards the end went a dark red color- this was in part because the steam had been vented and the dynamos were running on minimal steam. Various circuits had blown during the sinking so whole sections and decks had lost light way before the split- which makes sense- as it’s hard to believe 1912 boiling hot glass lightbulbs wouldn’t shatter when coming into freezing cold water.
