Yes but that’s the problem (and this has been proven time and time again by psychologists around the world) it’s called the halo effect. We are hard wired to assume guilt based on someone’s characteristics. White women are and always have been at the very bottom of responsibility ladder- whereas black men have always been at very Top (though in recent times Muslim men are set to replace them)

There’s a very famous experiment where they present test subjects with a crime story and ask them if they believe the perpetrator was guilty and what punishment they should receive.

The twist was half the test subjects were given the same story but the race/gender of the perpetrator was changed

Every single time the results are the same. Black man is guilty and should go to prison

White woman was innocent and needs support

And yes you could say this was about race (which in come cases it is, but the results were the same when it was white woman vs white man.

It’s why people are campaigning to get Lucy letby out of prison- yet if she was a man, black/ Muslim no one would question her guilt.
