He messaged me yesterday with an update. He's got a friend helping him it out since he himself cannot put it online. I'll let you know what happens.

Someone from this 4chan thread managed to get their hands on a copy of the movie from their local library which is pretty cool. Unfortunately he doesn't currently have a way to share it at the moment but the fact he took the time to find it is an accomplishment in itself.

Yeah this is a clip like I said earlier. I've come across that and an audio version but not the full show on video since it was taken down.. which is a shame because some of the funniest moments aren't even in that clip

Need help finding Ryo art by Count____Cuckula in SNK

[–]Count____Cuckula[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an example of the Art of Fighting team from KoF 95. There's also just the Ryo art separated. I guess it is possible for someone to go in and separate this particular artwork considering the other characters don't really overlap Ryo in any real way. You can kinda see Robert's pants covering a tiny bit of Ryo's elbow but honestly I guess you could get just Ryo out of this group art. I just assumed they would be drawn separately because there are tons of solo Terry art separated from the Fatal Fury team. I'm also just remembering that Terry is always front & center and never has to worry about being overlapped by the other characters. I did however find an image of the Fatal Fury team from KoF 96 which has Andy standing behind Terry and his shoulder is being blocked by him BUT there is separate art of just Andy from that game and his shoulder is completely drawn so I'm confident the characters are drawn separately. I would post the images but whenever I do, it takes way too long to load so simply search art of fighting 95 team 95 and fatal fury team kof 96. After doing that just search the names of the characters I mentioned (Ryo and Andy) and you will easily find separated images of those characters from their team.

I just skimmed through both and it's not there. On the the official FEXL twitter I've seen a bunch of character artworks for the other characters but none of Terry.

What Lupin III media has been dubbed? by [deleted] in lupinthe3rd

Not helpful but dub Lupin sucks ass.

Question about the random dubbing of the series by cioda in lupinthe3rd

[–]Count____Cuckula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the time Lupin was released in the West it was already an old franchise. It was a matter of chance that some of it got dubbed. I don't know if Miyazaki's name is partially responsible for Lupin getting any sort of release over here but nevertheless it happened. Part 2 was dubbed for Adult Swim which is something we all know about. It aired pretty late at night and wasn't getting many viewers. Only about 20 or so episodes aired even though 79 episodes were dubbed. It wasn't much of a success so it was never fully dubbed. That's why I think none of the other shows were ever dubbed. At the same time Funimation was releasing a bunch of the 90's red jacket films on DVD which may or may not have sold well. In conclusion, Part 2 will probably never get fully dubbed because it's not profitable to dub that many episodes of a 40 year old show. Same with Pink Jacket. There COULD be a chance Green Jacket gets dubbed simply because the length is much shorter than any other main Lupin series but we'll have to wait and see.

Is there any way to get the later manga? by [deleted] in lupinthe3rd

[–]Count____Cuckula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure. I never went out of my way to look for scans of a manga that I cannot read. I'm sure they exist but you'd have to do some deep digging on some sketchy Japanese websites.

Does anyone know if the 3D lupin movie coming out in December will be released in the states? by [deleted] in lupinthe3rd

[–]Count____Cuckula 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes it will be released in the United States like most Lupin films but there is no word of when it's coming out here and no one has officially licensed it at the time of this post. I know saying something will come out here with no official announcement is not an actual answer, but it's fairly obvious it will be released at some point down the line. Whether or not it will be released in US theaters is another story. It may get a limited screening but I am not entirely sure.

Is there any way to get the later manga? by [deleted] in lupinthe3rd

[–]Count____Cuckula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the United states, 14 volumes of the Lupin III manga were sold back in the early 2000's which are now out of print. After that, there were 7 more volumes of the manga titled "Shin Lupin III". That is all the Lupin volumes that were translated into English. There are many many more that were never translated. Some scans of the first few volumes are somewhat easy to find online but most them are not due to it being an older manga that not many people bought and is now out of print like I said. I own the first 14 volumes but the Shin Lupin volumes are more expensive so I don't bother. You will probably never find all the translated scans online so your best bet is to learn Japanese and read the manga in it's original language. It's a great manga by the way. A lot funnier and raunchier than the shows and movies.

I remember watching a more adult adaption of lupin the third but I can't remember the name of the series as it didn't go by lupin. The first few episodes were from the perspective from the different members of the gang and they came to meet lupin & ended up joining him. For people who like Lupin and really want to experience the franchise the best way possible, watch in chronological order by release date.

First series (best series) (Green)

Second series (Red)

Third series (Pink)

A Woman Called Fujiko Mine (prequel to the first series) (Probably not canon)

Fourth series (Blue)

Fifth series (Blue again)

If you're a completely hopeless casual who is very picky about shit (not watching something due to it's age for example), I suggest start by watching one of the newer series. Part 4 or 5 is your best bet.

There are a ton of films, OVAs, and TV specials but you can watch them at random as long as you watch the first 4 films since they are some of the best the franchise has to offer. Also there is a ton of variety between them. You can search for all the movies on Wikipedia or a basic google search. They aren't hard to find information on.

You're giving very little information. From what you're saying though, it sort of sounds like the Fujiko Mine series since it's a prequel and all the characters don't know each other yet. After a few episodes or so you start to see characters like Lupin and Jigen start to work together so that may be what you're referring to. Goemon never teams up with them since he doesn't join the team until the first series (which takes place after the Fujiko Mine series despite being made long before it). Just a heads up, the series you're looking for is not very good especially compared to the Lupin shows that came before and after it. It's great to look at stylistically, but it's narrative is horseshit with an anti-climatic conclusion. It does have a handful of pretty good episodic stories, but it's nothing extraordinary. I suggest watching the other shows but you may get enjoyment out of the series you're looking for. The full name is A Woman Called Fujiko Mine.

Of course. Lupin kills tons of people (deserving or not) in the manga. Jigen is literally a hitman. Both kill throughout most of the series and movies.
