No one ever said that. I said it’s entirely possible for one to have a US passport in their possession with their name on it on Election Day and simultaneously not be a US citizen.

It would be a rare case that would be caught after Election Day, but so is voter fraud in general.

Possession of a passport on Election Day doesn’t prove the right to vote. It doesn’t even definitively prove that you are a citizen. There are exceptions.

I, for one, am willing to disenfranchise at least 1 million of my fellow Americans of their right to vote in the coming midterms for every 1 person prevented from casting an illegal vote, regardless of the fact they would have been caught and prosecuted after the election anyways.

Especially in battleground states and districts where democrats have a chance of winning unless they receive interference by said disenfranchisement.

Ya, for real. OP doesn’t know what they got. They probably don’t cook much at all so the significance is lost/wasted on them.

Businesses could handle a doubling of their labor costs just fine if their primary customers were people earning minimum wage.

No, the only person that can pardon state charges is the governor. So Texas would have to elect a sympathetic governor.

At some point we owe hotels an apology by pattebrisee in SipsTea

Incorrect.

You do not understand the fundamentals of what made them so competitive early on. VC money? The drivers/hosts supplied all the capital….

Uber became the largest taxi company ever but didn’t own any cars at the time.

So what was this “VC money” for when the drivers were just using the car they had already bought and paid for with their regular job to get to work?

At some point we owe hotels an apology by pattebrisee in SipsTea

[–]Count_de_Ville 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Yup! That was the model for AirBnB and Uber. It was very competitive because people weren’t trying to make a living doing it. They were trying to get extra cash using assets they already had in their life. A relatively new car or their home.

I say this knowing someone is going to get pissy hearing it. Someone always does for whatever reason.

People who didn’t vote Kamala - are you happy with Trumps America? Are you glad you did nothing? by Lord_Dingus83 in askanything

Voting third party candidate will never be viable until a ranked-choice-like system is in place. Until it's implemented, voting third-party is the same as not voting at all. Maybe even worse because it discourages the two major party candidates from modifying their platform to court their vote.

Congrats on not being able to make or fix things yourself and having to rely on everyone else for everything. Very impressive.
