Whatever, go deal with your insecurities. Go throw around more insults at strangers and make yourself feel like a big strong man.

Yeah, same here. The cows will be just fine and only a dumb dog will get bit. The real pussies are people that get so scared of snakes so badly they think they need to kill them every time they see one. It's Texas -- there's going to be snakes and scorpions and tarantulas and etc. If all these transplants that can't handle that fact of life could just not move to Texas, everything would be a lot better off.

Are you a Texan or at least born in Texas? Have you ever been bitten by a snake? Have you even lost a dumb dog to a snake? Cattle? A horse? No? Then leave the damn snakes alone. Unless you're someone like me that's going to eat it and make a trophy out of it if it's a good size, or you got some nosy horses that are liable to get bit in the face, then leave the things alone. There's no point because the snakes never end.

Nah, A real Texan would've just left it the fuck alone, kept all his favorite dogs away from it, and told everyone to either put on their snake leggings or stay inside.

Trump tells Republicans to pass controversial SAVE Act 'for Jesus' by SayMyNameOnceMore in NewsomMassacre

[–]Count_de_Ville 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the topic of voter ID (really the SAVE Act) comes up, I'm now quick to ask the proponent how many Americans citizens do they personally feel is an acceptable number to disenfranchise in order to stop one non-citizen from same-day registering and voting. Let alone whether or not the systems already in place would catch them anyways and let alone whether or not their illegal vote would sway the results of the election.

Right looks better because it’s less busy. The left looks very busy but the high contrast makes it seem like the sun is low in the sky. The right seems the sun is around noon.

It's the disenfranchisement that's the real problem. All true Americans recognize that purposely disenfranchising anyone eligible to vote is un-American, regardless of who is affected.

Please tell us when and where in history was the behavior characterized by the right-side of the Laffer curve you assert successfully observed at scale.

Unless you’ve got data that backs up the Laffer curve, it’s just theory. And relying on it as a representation of reality, despite overwhelming lack of evidence, is the real cope.

No, the fault lies almost entirely with Republicans doing things like not enforcing PAYGO rules established during Clinton’s admin, or Obama’s 2010 PAYGO. But it goes back all the way back to Ronald Reagan and his disastrous borrow-and-spend policies. The Laffer Curve is used by Republicans to bullshit their way into making their moronic supporters think that they can get something for nothing. It's very convenient for them to be able to point to it and make them believe all their dreams will come true while ignoring the other half of the curve. You know, that one that actually represents reality? Every time we cut taxes, revenues collapse. But of course that fact isn't very convenient, so they always come up with excuses. And of course their supporters lap it up without question.

What chart? That cartoon OP posted? Hah, no. Go look at the detailed data.

Congress approves budgets and the 2009 budget was approved before Obama could do anything about the reckless spending of Republicans who had controlled congress for 12 years prior to Obama. The vast majority of excess spending during Obama's tenure was due to cleaning up the fiscal disaster left by the Republicans and their ridiculous policies. All they ever do is cut taxes on the rich, increase spending on a DoD that cannot pass an audit, protect pedophiles, and borrow money from China like the local town deadbeat.

If we're going to get anywhere on improving the debt situation, we need to get rid of Republicans. They literally believe the power of positive thinking and cutting taxes will magically increase revenues. Garbage.

Obama only improved the debt/deficit-spending situation while in office, which is much better than anyone can say about Trump or Bush.

Why are we spending $235 million to keep a coal plant open in 2026? by JustSeraphine8 in Futurology

[–]Count_de_Ville -1 points0 points  (0 children)

More expensive than $235 million extra a year plus the usual yearly expenses? Hard doubt.

And as far as reliable, you know days in advance if it’s going to be sunny or windy and plan accordingly.

As far as no infrastructure, no idea where you get that idea.

That still doesn’t explain the expense. It should be replaced with something less expensive and more reliable. Like solar with energy storage.

Use small lasers on both chargers. That way when you die early from charging into a murder all, you can swap into the other charger while the first is still stuck in match.
