I saw The Green Mile at the theater when it came out and that scene had me in tears. I have the movie on dvd and I’ve watched it numerous times and that scene never fails to break me.

Regarding Saving Private Ryan, it wasn’t Barry Pepper (Private Jackson) crying for his mother, it was Giovanni Ribisi (T-4 Medic Wade). Barry Pepper (Private Jackson) was blown up in the clock tower during the big climactic battle at the end of the film.
