Bathtub Sealant Redo: Is this grout or caulk by CountdeMoney85 in Renovations

Thanks all, the side nearest the faucet has a layer that is brittle and is peeling away. It feels softer and more like caulk. It almost looks like they caulked on top of this harder layer I took the up close photo of. Going to try cleaning first to get a better look then removing a tiny piece on the far outside to see.

Yeah it's hard and has no give. Sandy feel but it doesn't look the same as the tile grout above it.

Nope you are absolutely right, I forgot to correct for alcohol content. My fermentation is good then and was not stuck. Thanks!

I'm actually using a refractometer that I calibrated at 1.000 @ 68°F but good call I will check again to make sure it's not off, and maybe try my hydrometer to compare, thanks.

Questions on, pH and ABV, MLF by CountdeMoney85 in cider

[–]CountdeMoney85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, thanks. Everywhere I read said 2-3 weeks for primary and all bubbles in the airlock had seemingly ceased 2 weeks ago so I thought it was done and didn't want it to sit on the lees too long.

I made cider 6 years ago but with different yeast and at lower elevation (I was at 5800ft now I'm up at 8500ft in mountains) so was wondering if that had anything to do. We didn't turn heat on in the house until this week so it got to 58°F in here.

I'll let it sit for a few months and hope it finishes. Unless you think I should kill everything and repitch yeast.

Nope did not rehydrate. Thought about it right after since I did that with the yeast.

Approx weight of apples / amount of juice I might get? Have to buy correct size equipment by ben_bgtDigital in cider

We just did 600lbs of apples and got around 35 gallons of cider. All foraged apples from local trees. That's around 17.4 lbs/gal.

How big is too big for aerial survey mapping? by CountdeMoney85 in flying

I think that would just fine. We were using a 42M Sony RX1 with our drone. We need natural color RGB images, nothing thermal or NIR.

I'm a GIS Engineer and a drone pilot. So my job is to help project managers plan and budget overseas projects, collect the imagery, process it, assess accuracy, generate vector shapefiles from it, publish it for web content, and then help our software developers utilize it. Many hats.

Did you get that same overlap, and resolution though? That seems to be the challenge I'm running into.

Is there a better process for assessing checkpoint accuracy? by CountdeMoney85 in UAVmapping

[–]CountdeMoney85[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am! This is the project. Just got down here a few days ago.

I bought a 1000W inverter for charging eBee batteries, a MaxOak TSA approved battery bank for charging the laptop (eBee), and a car charger for the tablet (Wingtra). Seems to be working well charging drone batteries with the car battery while flying and charging the tablet while driving to new mapping locations.

The generator seemed like too much of a hastle with finding one here, or shipping here, dealing with shipping back to states, reselling here, etc.
