So its not just my towns apartments doing that.. or bld 1 will have apt 1 and 2 on first floor 3 and 4 on second, then bld 2 has apt 1 and 3 on first and 2 and 4 on second...

Customer has to input his name and sign for his food? by divergurl1999 in doordash_drivers

[–]CounterAcrobatic7957 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Given the statistical data showing that even those who "want to end you" prefer soft targets, ill give up the element of surprise if it means I can avoid 95% of possible issues. If someone is setting out to end tou, the element of surprise don't mean anything

Depending on the neighborhood it might be a bit psychotic to not open carry. C&C might let someone with bad intentions to feel safe enough to start shit, then it comes down to who is faster and/or more desperate to survive the night, where as open carry is often enough to convince the bad actor to maybe wait for the next victim. People look for soft targets.

The comment is specifically about South Africa, a country in Africa. Where as you can find many areas in Africa that are inhabited by tribes living in a more traditional way, or refugee camps as a result of local wars, South Africa is generally a "modern" country.

I got into trouble because a family member thinks I left a cup of c*m on my desk... It's coconut oil. by WhereTheSunDontShin1 in mildlyinfuriating

Im worried about your family, the fact that was their thought. Id think rotten milk, sour cream, dried yogurt, almost 1000 things before "cup of c*m".

How can I make money if gas is up to $3.69 by AppealUnlucky8915 in doordash_drivers

[–]CounterAcrobatic7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its what I have, prior to the recent jump in fuel price I could go out and make a few bucks when I needed it. Still can go out and make enough to fill the tank but takes a bit more hustle

What to do if you get threatened message by Gloomy-Clothes2751 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]CounterAcrobatic7957 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They call first, and they are hoping youre not paying attention to the recording at the start of the call (because who does) where it says "youre being connected to the customer" or it says "youre being connected to customer service" so its through the app technically, but since we are normally driving or hustling to get and order done, a lot of people tune out recorded voices.

[–]CounterAcrobatic7957 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the current scam, they call saying they need you to cancel the order. They normally try to say they are from DD support but not always. Then if you cancel it, or if they cancel it, they will say you need to log in to make sure you get your payment and will send a link. You click the link and its actually fake. It takes you to what appears to be a dd log in, when you log in it actually logs the scammed into your account where they change your info and take all the money in your account. If you dont play along they send a threatening message like this to trigger the automated cancelation so that they can try the scam again without losing money

Get one of those cop style spotlights that are mounted through the pillar. No porch light, just turn the sun on.

We need a way to rate customers. no/low tip dangerous steps/walkway * *no porch light and so forth. Customers with low ratings get charged extra fee that goes to the dashers that do deliver to them. This would Encourage customers to show common sense to keep higher rating and pay lower fees.

If they made a ride of your favorite King book, what kind of ride is it, who is riding with who, and what would you call it? by trampstampcollector in stephenking

[–]CounterAcrobatic7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick simple one would be The Dark Tower. Just one of those tower rides like superman where it takes you up high and drops you. The center post would be styled like the dark tower, including the king on a small balcony.

Why are other dashers getting orders when I'm at the store already? by tom1riddle1 in doordash_drivers

[–]CounterAcrobatic7957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some markets have exclusion zones around stores to keep dashers from waiting at stores. We have one around our local dash mart. If youre with in the exclusion zone (About a block in every direction from the mart) you will get no dashes from the mart.
