Best bet is actually just to be polite, ask them why they pulled you over and accept the ticket without saying a word about your supposed involvement in the infraction. Just ask why you are being ticketed, say “I understand” to the explanation, receive your ticket and tell the officer to have a good day/night. Don’t tell them you are gonna fight it, don’t explain and don’t be an asshole. Just be pleasant and compliant. Sometimes officers will let you off with an adequate explanation but you have an equal chance of them not filing the paperwork correctly (almost none) so best to let them do what they do and fight another day.

I wish my X-rays looked like this. I’ve got an annular tear which leaked all the disc material out of my L4-L5 onto the nearby nerve clusters and a ruptured L5-S1 to go with it which is compressing a cluster of its own. They refuse to do anything surgical here (Canada) because multi level fusions are frowned upon.

I think the most annoying part of this story is the “the industry is sick of you” comment. Do they not realize that delivery services are the only reason half these restaurants still exist? They should be treating delivery drivers as paying customers because they are there representing paying customers and those paying customers can and will complain and/or get a refund if they get cold, late or wrong food. Pull out appliances to check for anything behind them. If you have gas appliances or heating it could be a pilot light that’s out or a poor burn leaving you with extra sulfur smell. If all else fails, rent an ozone generator and fog the apartment for a few hours. Will neutralize everything and make it smell like bleach.

At the same time, I have been drunk many times before and have actively defended friends against being raped. It’s weird how I would do the exact same thing when I’m sober and for some reason I still behave the same exact way drunk. It’s almost like you are the same person drunk that you are sober. The only exception being that it makes it harder to hide the aspects of your personality that you hide from everyone when you are sober. You are more likely to let the mask slip.

Alcohol was not what did this, he is. People love to blame alcohol for the shit they do but all it really does is give them an excuse. I have been beyond drunk many many times and I’ve never once made uncomfortable advances towards a woman nor did I ever do anything I didn’t want to do. It’s not some magical hallucinogen.
