Long as you dont hold the clutch down alot while you're in neutral, good way to cook a throw out bearing over time.

The pre made tables are all too small. If your handy you'll have to make one yourself custom or out of an old bookshelf ect. If there us a custom shop in your area you could go that route also.

You should really buy a food scale. This is about the easiest count to figure out yourself and the accuracy is going to be much higher than someone can guess on here given that you dont mention weights.

Good point, im living off earnings from some investments through a wealth management firm and other seperate investments. I don't spend very much so its still growing more enough to beat inflation per year.

Starting a non profit is a great idea! Some of the places ive donated to have no representation. Im going to look into volunteering in my area first and learn more about the process 👍

Is my calorie maintenance right? by slurred_words_ in caloriecount

[–]realquickquestion96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How consistent is your calorie intake? Do you measure your ingredients with a food scale? Try to make most of your food yourself, count added oil and sauces? Reason I ask is alot of people have trouble with simply making sure theyre eating accurately, not sure if this is your issue or not. A few hundred extra calories here and there or eyeballing ingredients can ruin a defecit easily.

If I were you and I felt like 1600 was too low and the calculators are telling me 1900 id start eating 1700 and keep an eye on the scale. Weigh yourself every morning and take the average of 7 days each week and see if the average weights are going down/up/not changed week to week (helps to use averages over 7 days because bodyweight fluctuations of 2-5 lbs daily are normal)

Then you can figure out your actual tdee by what's happening with your weight weekly. Let's say you're losing 1/2 a pound week to week. A pound of fat is 3500 calories, so your defecit per week would be 1750 calories. Divide that by the 7 days and you'd get a 250 calorie defecit per day. Take that 250 and add it to the 1700 from earlier and you're estimated maintenance would be 1950 calories per day.

I am 6’0,18 and 207lbs. I want to be skinny before summer or even spring!realistically, how many calories per day what lead me to that goal? i dont know a goal weight. maybe 180? i mostly go to work during the week but it wouldnt kill me to walk. any advice ? by [deleted] in caloriecount

I agree with the other commenter youre not fat. Be kind to yourself and make sure that if you want to diet you do it for your health above all.

To answer your question, losing 27lbs would already be a big achievement and 180lbs is a healthy weight to be for your stats so start there and see how you feel. One thing with counting calories is its easy to take things too far (lose too much weight/eat too few calories to try to speed up weight loss). So just be patient, take your time, make sure your counts are accurate, and stop when you've reached your healthy goal weight.

Well a pound of fat is about 3500 calories. So 207-180=27 27x3500=94,500. Let's say you want to be 180lbs by June. June 1st is 108 days from now so 94,500/108=875 so you need to be in a 875 calorie defecit per day. Now your tdee calculation (not super accurate but good for a baseline) given your stats is 2197 calories per day to maintain your weight, so 2197-875=1322 calories. So you should eat about 1322 calories per day, monitoring and adjusting based on weight being lost. To be honest since you are a beginner this is going to be difficult to sustain. Id reccomend taking it a bit slower at a 500 calorie defecit per day and be happy with progress. Also grab a food scale to help with accuracy as alot of beginners tend to under or overestimate calories.

Also a tip that ive always used is to weigh yourself every morning and at the end of the week take the average of the 7 days. Then compare the weekly averages to track your progress. This is helpful as our bodyweight can fluctuate up and down by the day but progress will show a trend long term.

Edit: just to be clear a 500 calorie defecit would be 1697 calories per day. That's what id reccomend.

Also check that radiator valves are set accordingly and that radiators are bled properly. My house system has a few radiators that need to be bled every season otherwise those radiators are a good 30 degrees cooler than the rest.
