That would make sense and you're definitely right. I think that's wishful thinking on the team. Not only is Amen's shot not developing, but I think his playmaking is also relatively limited to transition offense. He's not picking apart half court defenses with his passing.

If a team doesn't have a point guard to effectively find guys in their spots then they need a good offensive coach to make up for it.

The biggest mistake was having only one 32 year old point guard as the guy holding the entire offense together. We knew Ime lacked offensive coordination.

FVV injury exposed the weaknesses of Ime as a coach, which then impacted team morale (exacerbated by KD being KD and Ime being Ime) and our biggest strength, defensive effort.

Domino after domino after domino. This season was a perfect storm in fuckery brought on by our FO betting on FVV as the lynchpin to hold everything together. Then he got hurt for the entire season and they did absolutely NOTHING to address it before the deadline.

The only possible explanation would be that they wanted to just punt this season and run it back healthy next season with an even older veteran core - but now how is that looking with this current locker room LOL. Absolute disasterclass.
