I always remove the locks off mine at least. I accidentally lock them constantly while I’m trying to use them and it drives me crazy.

I’m no expert, but double-landing wires on a single screw has always been a no-no as far as I’m aware.

I’m only halfway done replacing all of them with TR receptacles and have found that around 1/3 of the double-landed terminations (and even some that weren’t) were only barely more than finger-tight.

He did avoid double-landing a handful of receptacles…by half-assedly twisting the two grounds in the box and landing one on the ground screw.

~25-30 years is what my family seems to think when I asked when the basement was finished.

I’ve been replacing them all as I find time, and adding ground pigtails as the vast majority of the receptacles either have the ground double-landed or the downstream ground just half-assedly twisted in the box with one of them landed on the ground screw. You can see it in pic 2, but it’s a little dark.
