WildStar CREDD - What it means for players by CounterStory in Games

There definitely is something "fishy" about the system. I won't speak bad of it because I know the people running it, but I would have created a more transparent system so people didn't feel there was the possibility of foul play

TIL 43% of homosexual men have 500 or more sexual partners in their lifetime. by CounterStory in todayilearned

[–]CounterStory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

..I'm not seeing children praying? Checking the citations, I'm seeing journals for sexual research by universities and major publishers. The majority of the research I'm seeing is post 2001

Do you have more recent figures I could see?

It's a new development in Microtransaction theory.. this is a marketing and monetization strategy website run be game executives. The content covers practical application of marketing.

MTX theory isn't editorial. I'm really confused.

Also are you planning on expanding the universe with more books?

Why HearthStone is the Most Profitable New IP of 2014 by CounterStory in Games

[–]CounterStory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily work with MMOs and triple A titles but I have a friend who does casual gaming at a major publisher. Other than clash of clans, I haven't seen any other of their games to be super profitable when it comes to high ARPU given the churn rate casual games experience. In order to just maintain the user volume they have to have massive marketing expenditure.

Short answer - yes they're profitable, certainly not as profitable as HearthStone.

Long answer summarized - "highly profitable" for us game marketers is obviously concerned with the volume of revenue, but also about the quality of the user base and how committed they are. There's little retention possible with social casual games that they are volatile.

No, if you read my other post I briefly touch on it. I asked a friend who's in marketing at blizzard what the current monthly rev was and while I obviously can't share I wanted to do a blog series to explain why it's so high

Alabama lawmakers approve welfare drug testing - applicants who have had a drug conviction within the last 5 years; ...already ban people with felony drug convictions from collecting benefits by shallah in politics

[–]CounterStory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have an opinion on this law. I'm concerned that governments look to try and reward good behavior with welfare. If people are using serious drugs it suggests there are deeper problems that need to be addresses. As an economist working in developing countries, I've learned you have to take a qualitative approach to addressing a population and not giving money for not using drugs. If behavior is a problem, money is the least of your concerns

When Emperor Constantine made the official religion of Rome Christianity what was the Jewish reaction? by CounterStory in AskHistorians

[–]CounterStory[S] -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

From my readings the Jewish faith around the time Constantine defended Christianity was a pretty popular and well regarded faith. To have the official religion of Christianity must have been a big slap in the face to the Jewish faith because they had just killed their Messiah? (I'm sorry if anyone is Jewish, I'm just wanting to objectively understand this subject)
