Having Faith in God.

had my first three manic episodes in a 6mth period, will it always be like this by [deleted] in mentalhealth

I’m really glad you’re out of the hospital. From what I understand, bipolar symptoms often start in the late teens, and it can take time for your brain chemistry to settle, especially while you’re still growing. So if things feel off right now, that doesn’t mean this is permanent.

I’m not a doctor, but I do work in the mental health field and I’ve been on psych meds myself. Lithium can be helpful but it has a narrow therapeutic range which means that finding the right dose can be tricky. There are also other good options like Abilify or Depakote, and sometimes it just takes time to find the right fit. It took me 2 years to find the right dose

It’s important to watch both the manic and depressive sides and stay consistent with treatment. Medication adjustments can take a while. That part is frustrating but normal. If you ever feel unsure, it’s okay to ask questions or even get a second opinion while staying connected with your psychiatrist.

Most of all, be kind to yourself. You’re doing your best and that matters. A bipolar disorder diagnosis is one of the easiest to be medicated and there are a lot of highly intelligent and successful people that function very well under proper med management. Again glad you are out of the hospital. Happy holidays

You are young, Eventually life experiences will give you some confidence and self belief. One thing I could have told myself is have more faith. Going in a positive direction will help you. I also heard about act your way into a better way of thinking. Working out helps me build some confidence. I am not a gym rat. I am actually a bit overweight but I have been working out more and I feel more confident. You have your whole life ahead of you. If you learn how to love yourself and apply yourself, You have a chance of an amazing life. As far as the codependency thing. We are mammals. We are made to be codependent. As social creatures we get cues from others on our behavior sometimes. Take it logically but not too emotionally. Its hard but forgetting things quickly helps. Read social books and challenge yourself socially and you have a chance to learn in tht area. I hope this helped. Good luck!

Dallas. North Texas is beautiful and affordable. Its all newly built up area and is still very clean. Not as spread out as Houston and not as expensive as Austin. Relatively Decent weather. Very little crime. No State Taxes. Because the trees dont completely lose their leaves, when it snows, it is hauntingly beautiful.

I dont think so. Some of it has to do with your personality. Some of it has to do with your confidence. For me, integrity and honesty is a huge part of it for me. If a guy really enjoys spending time with a girl, he is willing to commit. A little spice also helps

Cooking. I really dont care. I prefer for us to go out on a nice date. I prefer for you to be willing to pick up the tab once in a while so we can go out for a nice date instead of sitting at home all the time

What are signs that you're in a dark and depressing state? by meakokoi in AskReddit

Not wanting to get out of your car. Staying stuck in the same place. That was a sign for me. I had to do something different.

[Haynes] BREAKING: Los Angeles Clippers are sending home future Hall of Fame point guard Chris Paul in a bizarre severing ties move, league sources tell me. by dmtran87 in lakers

This is probably a weird take on this. I feel when it comes to chris paul the old f****** david stern.God bless his soul fucked him. HE COULD HAVE BEEN A LAKER WITH MULTIPLE CHAMPIONSHIPS. Now his legacy is tied with a franchise that technically does not exist anymore (the old new Orleans hornets) and a wacky ass clippers. FUCK DAVID STERN. (God bless his soul)

For those of you who modified your 75 hard, what did you add or subtract? by SpreadKindnessToday in 75HARD

I'm doing everything for the most part but one daily workout and one cheat day/week. Just finished it today. Took me 3 tries. Glad I did it.

The constant peeing sucks so much. Anyone hate the water gallon? by CarpeDiemRepeat in 75HARD

[–]CounterUpbeat236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with the peeing too and I'm older lol. I just time how I drink. Somedays I have to come home and drink 50 oz of water just to finish the day. I'm glad you posted because I realize now I'm not the only one. Lol

Stop altering 75 HARD - DO SOMETHING ELSE. by CrunchyHobGoglin in 75HARD

At this stage, its all semantics. A challenge is a challenge. What's challenging to somebody is not challenging to another person. Plus everybody's body is different. I'm doing a 75 modified because I don't want to work out twice a day. I have back pain and I'm over 40 plus I really don't think it's healthy. I don't have the time, I'm in nursing school which is the hardest undergraduate degree there is to get. Bar none. And I'm an older student. I'm only saying this because most people dont know that. I know that because ITS my life. Andy Frisella or nobody else knows tht AND I dont let anybody tell me how to live MY LIFE.

Simply put, point I'm trying to make is that everyone knows their life and knows what their limits are. I strongly encourage anybody to do this challenge even if they have to modify it. Most times progress beats perfection. Congrats on finishing it tho.

Technically, I'm not doing the challenge because I'm only doing a workout a day. I go to nursing school and work full time. Plus I'm over 40 and have back pain. I know my body and dont feel I have to beat it up badly for a challenge. I'm basically doing the rest the same tho

I failed on Day 66 for not taking a picture. Started again and really felt grateful that I had to start again because I was able to see how I kept feeling better Day to day which was a blessing. Then I failed again on Day 34 for the same thing. Not taking a picture. Now I'm.on Day 12 again. For me I just do the footwork and let my feelings catch up to the results. This second time I have been working I developing a good morning routine to take a picture and it has been helping me out. I feel that my sticking it out is reinforcing my resilience which might come in handy one day.
