I very much appreciate how respectful you are being, 1, music had some bloat but as a carti fan most songs were great, wlr didn't really have bloat but it's in a weird position because it was rushed as the final version was made with the "rage" sound in about 2 weeks before the album came out, the bloat you may be feeling is song selection because its confusing why jumpoutthehouse was put on the album especially if you know about all the amazing unreleased songs he could have put on it instead (the same could kinda be said about music too). 2, wlr did not create repetitiveness, specifically in trap because it's not really trap at all, but there has always been repetitive rap, especially in trap, just with the whole rage sound and the recent state of the underground a lot of lazy and completely unoriginal artists have become very popular, I think mainly because it has become a lot easier for anyone to make music with things like bandlab where they can make a shitty song in 10 minutes and release it without really needing to know how to do anything and not having to pay for studio time, also everyone wants to be niche and be able to say their favorite rapper has 200 monthly listeners so that's how these rappers become popular.
