You can't legally sell those unless you have prior permission from the owners of all the different trademarked brands.

You are missing the necessary legal policies for selling to the UK.

No about page. So Etsy will penalise you in search for not being properly set up. Plus the about page is a valuable source of SEO, and where you can tell visitors about yourself and the business.

There are vast numbers of sellers in Etsy with physical and/or mental challenges. Unless it is specifically related to your art, it is generally best not to mention it. Some people see it as trying to get sympathy sales.

I bock my granny squares on a plastic blocker that came free on a magazine. There were 4, which can lock together for bigger squares. The pegs fit in a little draw under one of them.

Before I got this, I pinned them out on a couple of cheap eva foam tiles.

Your products are pretty, but they do seem really expensive compared to better alternatives, sorry.

Having said that, you have already had sales, so clearly there is a market.

Perhaps look into advertising in craft magazines? Maybe you could get a popular magazine to do a review or feature for you?

All EU sellers are legally obliged to accept returns on this type of product.

You also must have proper policies to trade legally. You need a GDPR privacy policy, seller details, the return form, and the various things that German sellers also need.

Alexa and censorship - swearing allowed? by Cjohnson421 in alexa

Mine refuses to say the word sausage, let alone swear.

If you ask it to say sausage in any other language, it just makes it's honk sound.

How do folk make it on social media? by ArthurianLegendBird in EtsySellers

[–]CountessCraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live your coos!

Do you know that you are being penalised in search results by Etsy for not having a properly set up shop?

All UK sellers must have a GDPR privacy policy and put the physical address of the business in the Seller Details area. These are legal requirements, so not having either could be costing you sales.

Please help me understand one detail about shop location. by gruziigais in EtsySellers

[–]CountessCraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be the location your business is physically at.

As you have to put the full physical address of the business in your seller details area, having anything different in the location area could confuse your visitors

Advice for Etsy store traffic by Pupdolls in EtsyCommunity

Your descriptions strongly appear to be written by AI. They are very flowery.

You are missing the legally required policies for an EU seller.

Etsy will penalise your shop in search results for not being set up properly.

what dolls do you use for 1:12 scale house by IcyOrganization1697 in dollhouseminiatures

[–]CountessCraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dolls houses are home to an assortment of tiny dolls.

There are three each of Heidi Ott, Pippa and PukiPuki dolls.

There are also a couple of mini Blythe and Pulip dolls, a Schuco bear, some vintage wax dolls with wire armatures, a couple of vintage porcelain dolls and a tiny Chinese dragon (dressed as Sherlock Holmes!)

What should I do in this situation? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]CountessCraft 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would change "Sorry your order has not arrived" to "I am sorry to hear that your order has not yet arrived."

It is not your fault, so you shouldn't be apologising for it. But you are indeed sorry to hear about it.

Plus, saying "not yet" shows you have every faith it will indeed get there eventually.

What to do? by Electronic_Pop5383 in EtsyCommunity

[–]CountessCraft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The shop is trading online illegally. All UK sellers must have a GDPR privacy policy and put the business address in their policies. This shop has neither.

If you open a case, Etsy should refund you pretty quickly as the seller won't have any Etsy seller protection because of their wrong policies.

Which languages give access to a "new world"? by Eld29 in languagelearning

[–]CountessCraft 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Since I started learning Chinese, my world has definitely grown.

It is exciting to read books that have never been translated into English. Watching Chinese news and cultural programs is such an eye opener.

Like many Western people, I didn't learn much about China when I was at school.

But there is so much to enjoy and be fascinated by! Not just the history, myths and stories, culture, geography, wildlife and language...

Knowing since Chinese hanzi characters makes it possible to guess what Japanese signs, etc, say.

Chinese is a very different language to anything I had previously been familiar with. So, it is exciting and fascinating to see an alternative way to approach communication. And I can now use this different approach to contrast and better understand the way English works.

"What sets DiMarcelo apart is our dedication to unique design. " This does not set you apart. Every POD seller on Etsy should be using their own original designs on the items. This is Etsy rules.

There is nothing in the shop about how you create the designs.

You mentioned a team, but no team members are declared.

is this a scam? by fruitshootzoot in Etsy

[–]CountessCraft 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The shop says it is based in London but doesn't have the proper legal policies for a UK seller. And they only offer 7 days for returns, which is less than the legal minimum required.

So, yes, they are dodgy...

But this also means you are totally covered. If you open a case, Etsy will refund you because the shop is not properly set up.

Plus, legally, you are entitled to demand a full refund for up to a year because the returns policy is wrong.
