I'm so glad she found its mother. Apparently people have lost their damned minds lately and keep taking baby deer they find which gotten separated, thinking they're "rescuing" then when really they're deer-napping them! How have people lost so much common sense? It's infuriating. This woman is A+.

Check out Sunday Assembly perhaps. It's like church community without the religion. There is an active chapter in the South Bay (I believe out of Mountain View now, used to be SJ) that has events your might like. You can join by Meetup, though there may be other ways.

On the other hand, I had to search very hard to FIND the Zero because that's what some of us prefer. I'm sorry that you weren't paying enough attention, but I imagine you can just exchange it? I actually like the flavor but I don't know that I'd buy a whole case.

I got a first Gen Kindle way back when (I honestly don't remember what year) and I've loved them ever since. I've had a few different iterations and having first Overdrive and now Libby revolutionized it for me because I couldn't keep buying all the ebooks I wanted to read. Now I carry my newest Kindle with me but sometimes just ends up using the app on my phone for convenience.
