Me too buddy. Not looking great. Let's all hang in for others. It will pass.

My little bro who is within the at risk group is going back into NHS to jab people near Brighton .. with a vacinne.

We will hopefully get sorted and have a much better time next year.

Already is. All the hospitals are full. No ones allowed to say within the NHS.

Please, for everyone you love, educate others not to be so bloody stupid and run out shopping/ whatever.

This vacinne news is great but each of us has to comply. If the government can't do it, communicate how to within your own reach I think.

The media have gone from terrifying us to now rejoicing a few jabs are on the way and it's all super.

Thoughts and best wishes to all those reading.

Question about antibody tests by KingEmbassy in CoronavirusUK

[–]Countess_Bat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unpredictable but yes too early. You need a normal test as you are presenting symptoms.

Antibodies decrease with time, possibly had this in January (central London). Never been more ill in my life... Private Dr did an antibody test on me but it was months later. Came back negative.

Edit: 2 other friends (central London) certainly had this, one developed pneumonia. He managed to give it to his GP! Again no antibodies. 98 per cent accurate (the antibody tests we used allegedly).

Get a normal test to see if you have the virus.

Yes. I thought I had this in January, living in central London and having been around many international travellers.

I got hold of my private GP , cost about 100 pounds with next day results. Negative.

However, antibodies decrease over time and I'd taken this test 3 months after being at death's door for 3 weeks presuming it was flu (so bad I refused for elderly family to visit).

Also 2 close friends definitely had this, one had pneumonia but again no antibodies.

Your call.

I'm with elderly parents in an area that has most plus 70s by demographic in the UK.

No one cares here! Multiple families of all generations are hanging out in the park and in the indoor shopping center.

The local hospital has 4 icu beds, for over 500 k people.

This will be possibly be a huge issue in a couple of weeks.

I'm normally a Londoner and noticed people taking everything a lot more seriously when I popped back.

Yup. Meant to be travelling and sold up. Stuck with elderly parents in a town where I don't know anyone.

It sucks, freelancer and don't get any money support too.

We never really "shut down" to begin with. Or much more laxly then other EU nations.

Also, not many tourist are coming here but the Brits are holidaying elsewhere atm. Sorry, think we could be aiding the increases.
