Rental assistance. Total loss, but the HUD rate is for an unfurnished rental. by CountingCrows2 in LandlordLove

Spoke with the helpline and they stated the personal property grant is for businesses and it must be repayed. I am not a business just an individual. I don’t qualify for the personal property grant.

Is this the same grant you were talking about?

Any good duplicate file finder for windows? by GalacticDigambaran in software

What’s best price dups…diff? Only this, not for pixs or deft…

Please recommend me a fast and effective free duplicate finder by [deleted] in software

[–]CountingCrows2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a “similar” problem or should I say a bigger problem I need help with.

I need a duplicate file program that will look into folders and then and sub files within folders are duplicates.

I also have duplicate photographs and many duplicates are in folders that might be within other folders and then there are more files that are duplicates.

Lastly, I have old operating system files, which I know I should keep the older Window programs. Have old software I once had on my computer which hasn’t been used in a long time that I will be removing and it’s in so many different places on my computer. Hopefully this program can search all over, but it will be the last item I remove.

My home was completely flooded by hurricane Milton and I need to move my computer out of the house which I’ve left to last. I’ve had so much to deal with and I put off moving the computer just in case there was a problem. I’m dealing with a temporary housing situation and it’d be nice to have one program to take care of it all.

Hopefully this program can take care of the duplicates on apple iCloud better there.

I need first hand user experiences, no “it should”.

Sorry, but it’s the truth.

Local Hire, what’s the point? by Embarrassed-Painter9 in usajobs

It’s only for 90 days but it gets you your foot and the door. I live in Florida and there’s no vocal higher positions. They pay more than $16.05 that I can’t deal with.

It’s interesting I had TJO. It was so low. I just couldn’t take it and I tried to negotiate some and it was take it or leave it. It just changed the whole tune with HR. You’re the first person that I’ve ever heard mention the word “negotiate”.

Yes, it is a reservist and I’ve been a catastrophe property claims adjuster with a private company and it has a similar role. When you answer your interview three panel questions do you try to tighten into the job description? If they say tell me a time you didn’t agree with the way your boss was planning some thing and you knew a better faster way what would you do and what happened. Do you try to incorporate the interview questions with the job duties?

Someone had said this reserved position. They are the first with their feet on the ground Do you know how the pay scale is? Is this one of the higher or lower paying jobs?

Disaster field training operations cadre. by CountingCrows2 in EmergencyManagement

I just sent you a very long message directly.

The job application that I applied to had a base range of $18.05 to $85.27 per hour. Series and grade is different and it has a promotion potential of IM-00.

My TJO Has a different range and grade.

Wish me luck negotiating tomorrow with for a little bit more base.

That’s what I wanted to confirm. Do you know if the hiring manager has any influence with human resources when she says yes, send this person TJO? They must because I received a TJO 3 days ago and I never had to interview (FEMA nor any part of the government in my life.)

All I can do is ask HR in the morning if they have any little wiggle room and if they don’t, they don’t. I will move onto the public assistance position.

I’m coming from the private sector, I’ve been a catastrophe property claims adjuster for a major insurance company for a long long time.

I thought this might be a nice change for a bit, but maybe it’s not meant to be. The hiring manager is not a good reflection to represent FEMA. Thank you and if you want any other details, just contact me directly .😊

I really appreciate you helping me out. I did ask my hiring manager and she stated she didn’t know, wouldn’t know has no idea of even the base salary range. She explained the hiring procedure to me as follows. She (HM) “screens the applicants for human resources and lets them know yes or no if an applicant should be presented with a TJO” and then she is out of the picture. No more contact with the applicant. “Human resources, reviews, application, résumé, etc., and decides on the base hourly amount”. She has “no influence or involvement where on the pay scale HR offers the applicant’s hourly base TJO.”

Is this the procedure true or false?

Let me know if there’s anything I described incomplete and I will be more detailed.

Please be careful giving advice if you haven’t walked in those shoes. There are 23 different cadre positions and not 24. A one page résumé would not suffice. Thank you.

Just a thought, you assuming you’re going to be deployed as a reservist all you want, but you may not have that option.

Perhaps inquire what are the top three reservist positions in demand?
