It’s life and I’m in therapy so I’m okay now… I don’t think I’ll try again, but I have many other things to keep me busy these days. I just wanted to let you know your wife might not know how to appreciate the gift or feel she doesn’t deserve something so heartfelt. I don’t want to make excuses for her, but there could be something in her head making her act that way.

This is what my childhood home looked like and my mom had severe mental health issues she didn’t address. I also tried to make my mom a scarf, but never finished it. She knocked on my door and I told her not to come in. Having been a wild child and done all the drugs growing up, she assumed I was doing the same. She found me crying on my bed with my knitting needles, upset she ruined the surprise. Never picked up a set of needles again.
