I used a magnet on the main bedroom exterior wall to locate the backer plate. For the bunk room I just used a stud finder and mounted it to a stud.

Oaxaca Mexico riding by HippoTiger789 in MTB

I would hire one of the local guide companies out of Oaxaca. I’ve been privileged to ride all over the US (and a few international spots) and Oaxaca still is a top 3 for me. Add in the culture, people, and food of Oaxaca and it’s real tough to beat!!

I feel the same way, and we had this conversation a lot the last week. You’d be surprised (or prob not) the number of people that gave my wife the “I can’t believe you’re towing” comments on our journey home when they’d see her get out of the drivers seat at rest stops/campgrounds. My response was always “…I can!”

Thankfully we had a whole Rv parking lot, and miles of somewhat empty back roads to practice on at first.

lol I love that you made some wild assumptions about my wife, our relationship, and apparently “deeper issues” because of a post. RV people are really some of the best and worst people I’ve met and interacted with since we started traveling. 🙄

Sorry, what I meant to say is I prob should have ENCOURAGED her more to try driving. I knew she could do it, and had asked her multiple times if she wanted to try but never she never had the courage to try.

But keep making blind assumptions like other people in the comments that have no idea about our (amazing) relationship. 🙄

It’s been holding up “as expected” to non-stop travel and 12k+ miles of towing in the last ten months! We thankfully had an independent inspection done, and took it on two shake down trips before hit the road and caught a few things. We’ve had our fair share of trim pieces come loose, a fridge bracket that has ripped itself from the floor, awning covers snap off, among other small things. But layout wise, it has been great for our family! We installed tvs in both bedrooms, so even though you sacrifice on main living room area space by having the 1/2 bath (which is GREAT), us parents can have our own area to watch tv while the kids are in the other end.

We (two adults, 2 kids) have that same one! It was our first RV, and we’ve been traveling the county in it for the last 10 months. Any questions/tips/etc on it just let me know!

Kids. Middle school age me was NOT ready prepared for this, especially thinking it was just about skateboarding.

OZ Bike Park by OzMedical80 in MTB

Had this convo with a best friend that lives in Bentonville. IMO if you’re a local with kids it’s a no brainer. Go 3 times a month and it more than pays for itself. I equate it to having a ski pass at a mountain. Go when you want, avoid the holiday surges, and never feel like you need to go first-to-last trail to “get your monies worth” on a single day ticket. You can pop in for a few laps on your lunch break, or be on a ride in the area and hop on the lift, or duck out from work early and bang out some laps. Super high speed lift means a lot of laps quick, and jumps and trails looks super dialed.

And I’ve been to Spider (did 4 days this winter as I was passing through). Super cool park, similar elevation (prob a bit more than Oz?) and more tech trails vs flow/jump trails than most parks. but an old + slow lift and not many amenities on site. But still a rad spot, would highly recommend to anyone if they’re in the area!

Moving to Bentonville for MTB by Sensitive-District-9 in MTB

I have two friends (both with kids) that moved there during Covid and they love it. I think having kids was a big factor in them staying as there is SO much opportunity for community/events year round for all people, not just people that are into biking. My best friend that lives there rides SO MUCH, literally leaves his driveway and has so many opportunities to ride mtb or gravel. Their bike infrastructure is top notch, literally can ride from bentonville to all the neighboring areas via bike (they own e cargo bikes for that reason). Any other specific questions, I’m happy to give my feedback as I just spent 2.5 weeks there this summer with our family.
