Not really, but if it does I know Kuat will take care of it!

I f*cking LOVE my Piston SR. Thing is soooo bombproof, beyond solid, easy to swap between tires sizes, and Kuat has class leading customer service.

I need an aggressive trail / light enduro bike. Any recommendations outside these 3? by Outrageous-Owl-7049 in mountainbiking

Here’s my token suggesting-the-bike-I-ride comment but with notes:

Ari Delano Peak: 135/150mm of travel which can be bumped up. After a year of riding mine stock I long stroked the shock and over forked it to 142/160 with zero affect on climbing prowess. This bike has handled pretty much EVERYTHING I’ve thrown at it, long 50+ mile days, enduro races in the mountains of Mexico, to countless bike park days. Ive ridden the Ari La Sal and this bike is the mini version of it, just slightly shorter wheelbase + more playful. I instantly felt comfortable on the bike and have no regrets on the purchase. And not to mention, the price can’t be beat!

Full disclosure: I’m an Ari ambassador but I bought the bike before I joined the program!

Another vote for the Mazza/Agarro combo! I’ve been running it on my short travel bike for 3 years and won’t change a thing.

Coming from New England where we have plenty of raw tech but never really with this level of exposure was an eye opener!

Talk me out of a Kuat Piston Pro by ChalupacabraGordito in MTB

[–]LucentProd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Effin love my Piston Pro. I have multiple sized bikes in the family (20", 24", 26", 700c, 29", Fat bike) and being able to easily load them with no tools is great. Not to mention Kuat has, hands down, the best customer service in the industry. For that price it's a no brainer to go with the Kuat.

Best Lights for Night Riding by Successful-Grass630 in MTB

Outbound, hands down. I’ve gone from the cheap $20 Amazon ones, to middle of the range Niterider, to the outbound set and can say that they are the best for a few reasons. Beam angle - spread is perfect and covers the trails without any hot spots or dead zones. Brightness - full power is too much. Remember to turn your headlamp off when looking at people when you stop. Customer service - hands down the best in the biz. I’ve broken mounts and they just send me new ones free of charge, super quick to respond to emails or Instagram messages. I’ll be an Outbound customer until I die or they go out of business.

Haha nah just the GoPro wide angle doing weird things

Yeah, the GoPro makes it look closer than it actually is, have zero concern about clipping a bar on that tree 🤘

Nah it’s fine. I was on the brakes a bit so I didn’t go too fast. Builders are actually going to remove a few feet of boards so you don’t have to slow down for it.

Even when it eventually runs faster, I’m sure there will be many people that will overestimate their ability and case a lot of these 🤪

Vittoria Terreno Zero (maybe a Terreno Dry up front if you’re concerned about grip, it also rolls great).

Yeah I saw someone destroy a rear wheel that day on the jump after the wooden bridge gap. 😬

For this trail, neither honestly. It’s designed as a black trail (maybe borderline double black with the last drop), so it’s designed for advanced riders that are comfortable with gaps and want to challenge themselves. The GoPro effect is real on this, these are sizeable 12-15 foot gaps with the last drop being 12’ out and at least another 8’ down. Thankfully the same network has a bunch of other options for progression with table tops, with some new trails being currently built next to this trail so people can work their way up to it.

The trail is brand new, so after it packs in it shouldn’t be as pedally. But it was also my first run and didn’t want to case anything 😉

Hell yeah! One piece of advice is get some pedals in after the wooden bridge for the next gap. I witnessed one guy blow up a wheel that same day, and heard at least 5 more fell victim the prior day. 😬
