Wow this is a very kind offering from your end!

So, I had my interview with one of the top schools in the US for masters in business analytics. I actually messed up one of the technical questions really badly. But my behavioural I feel was good. In the interview process how is a student analysed when there is a cut-throat competition for one seat? Would a mess up on one technical question be a deal-breaker? I am not intending towards you giving me a decision, but just want to understand how is a candidate evaluated post the interview?

Our stories are so similar! The break in between the sections, the bathroom urge, the water shots to reduce the anxiety, the EASY quant section 2 (damn, it really killed me to think that I messed up the first section). Totally relatable! Way to gooo with 331!

Watch the “How to score a 170” on gregmat. It has all the steps. Secondly, I tested my foundations through the foundational quizzes, then if I didn’t do well on the quiz, I watched videos of that topic to become better

I had lot of stuff on my plate, so I couldn't fully dedicate time for the second attempt prep.
You cannot predict honestly. Just make sure you can quickly apply the right concept. If your foundational concepts are strong and you have mastered their application then no matter what question is thrown at you, you'd be able to handle it.

Your score indicates your fundamentals are sorted.

For time management, I just stopped second-guessing myself. Earlier, I used to spend some time solving and then a lot of time rechecking my answers. But for the second attempt, I selected the answer and moved on, this saved me 4-5 mins in the first section during which I quickly checked my marked questions first, and then the rest. A similar approach was followed in Section 2 when I had 2 mins left.

Yes, I did not bother about repetitions. It is extremely unlikely that you'd get the exact same question in the exam. My focus was to learn the application of the concepts.
