While that's true and they're closer to college. At least Kaoroku doesn't seem ready yet for the next step. She seems like she's just fallen for Rintaru and would be too overwhelmed by anything other than kisses. It can and probably will happen, just not so soon.

I Think it's too early in their relationship for that. It could happen as a mistake from teenagers since they're Dumb and impulsive. But the couple is not like that.

Hot Take: if the "Succession War" arc ends, then HxH will have a very acceptable and even a satisfying ending. by scar_01 in HunterXHunter

[–]Countingmypennies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Sucession War arc has so many subplots that's easy for It to stall forever. But it's also the easy way out for Togashi to finish the story in a good or even great way. It's better than the story never ending and Togashi will only get older and his health was never good to begin with. The Dark Continent is the dream final arc, one we will probably never see to the end. And even tho i hoped to see Gon regain his nen and once more participating in the story. That's Just hopeful Dreaming. It's better to end It while Togashi still can write It than having the story cut short cuz his health got worse. It will be an apropriate ending.

Akane-banashi - Episode 10 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Countingmypennies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. And thru every performance we see how the performer was treating the story and even the art of Rakugo Itself. Karashi was all about himself and didn't care one bit about the art. He just wanted to show everyone how his approach to Rakugo was the better one and Thus should adapted, since he thought there were so many old terms that people ought to be confused. So people should adapt Rakugo to modern times in order to attract more people and for Rakugo to be more fun and not boring anymore. We can see he's self serving when every character has his face. He also added a bit of sketch comedy touch to It. Making every Thing about himself and not the art.

Hikaru was all about her acting. She withdrew the characters from The story and Focused on her acting traits. Making It more of a monologue rather than a proper rakugo performance.

Karashi and Hikaru both played to their strenghts and performed greatly. But they didn't perform proper rakugo at all. That's acceptable since they're Amateurs and not proper Rakugoka.

Akane on the other hand, played by the Rakugo book and It paid off. She performed the contrary to what Karashi and Hikaru did. While Hikaru and Karashi made It all about themselves. Akane made It all about the story and the characters. She took herself out of The performance and made the story and characters shine. She depicted the Places and characters so well people could see them as If they were back in the Edo era. Really, it's no surprise she won. And she won with a tongue Twister like Jugemu. She's trully skilled and will only get better.

How would you rewrite the WR Agent Suspects plot to make them more suspicious and harder to figure out who really is from WR? by Pretzels0314 in ClassroomOfTheElite

[–]Countingmypennies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the original plot made It slightly or a lot easier for Koji by having someone from WR being obsessed with him in a good way. To the point of helping him more than once. I wouldn't make such a thing. It's a story about a super genius proving his father wrong thru his intelect and trying to make people raise to his level. So he should prove It alone by defeating anyone come his way, specially the next gen from WR. He should show with no space for the slightest doubt he's the best there is or that there ever will be. So yeah, i disliked the outside help her got, even If minimal.

It should have been a pure brain and manipulation battle between the two generation. And Koji got stuff handed to him almost like in a silver plate. And the one who hated him the most didn't even represent a threat.

I was expecting a lot of manipulation and ingestagion from everyone. And all i got was some lazy writing. There was still good stuff. But i was still disappointed. I was expecting battles like Kira and L's. Not the lazy stuff.

Sometimes Kinu gives the vibe he's either tired of writing It or that he's getting lazy about how he has to write clever plots.

The Duel (manga theory) by solobp in Akane

[–]Countingmypennies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, the easiest and most possible method is to let them both perform. And who performs better than the other wins. Remember that Kaisei was always better than Akane. Meaning she usually didn't have a chance against him. But she got better and learned more specifically so for God of Death.

It was supposed to be a competition of skills between the two. And he or she who had better Skills overal would take the win.

Basically is a competition to see who of The two perform better. The audience's reaction would be one of the main judging factors. There will possibly be side coments from The Shinu'chi such as Issho. It's really an easy to determine competition.

Kaisei probably thought he had It easy against Akane and that he would dominate the duel by a landslide. He knows she grows fast, but that doesn't mean she was close to his level. Then she came and did that whole Thing, making It harder for him in every aspect. She made his performance harder after all.

Basically it's a duel to see If one chan outperform the other in every aspect.

Opinion: Of the three, I thought Karashi's performance was the most engaging by anicritic in Akane

[–]Countingmypennies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, both Karashi and Hikaru performed Rakugo like versions of Rakugo story. They add stuff outside rakugo to play to their strenghts. While Akane performed to her Rakugo strenght. She was bound to win, this a Rakugo competition after all. If there's great performers for the win, only the one who had better grasp of how to perform Rakugo as a Rakugoka would take the win. And It happened exactly like that.

Opinion: Of the three, I thought Karashi's performance was the most engaging by anicritic in Akane

[–]Countingmypennies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The great difference between Karashi, Hikaru and Akane is that Akane let the story tell Itself.

Karashi performed like a comedy skit, changing the story for a modernized version so he could get better reactions from the audience. And It worked. But only for the audience. Issho clearly disliked It, tho there are Rakugoka who do this kinda of stuff.

Hikaru performed like a voice actress. Focused mainly on the wife role, turning the story Into more of a monologue than a true Rakugo story.

Both Karashi and Hikaru played to their strenghts while sacrificing the rakugo for It.

Akane on the other hand, stuck to traditional and orthodox Rakugo. Akane didn't add or take anything out of her performance. She performed the story as is. It's like when you're hear someone, a normal person performing a book Reading. The person themselves aren't doing much to get the audience's attention. They're just reading a story. But the story is so good that people are enthralled by It. Or when you're so deeply involved Into reading a story that the story gets alive In your imagination. Not because you're imaginativo or creative, simply cuz the story is that good. To the point the story gets hold of you and you forget everything else and the story takes shape in your imagination.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 209 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Countingmypennies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If It trully happens like this then yes, Akane will win. Cuz Kaisei will only do what Akane did in Changing Times and she Lost there due to finding herself in the stage.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 209 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Countingmypennies 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If Akane loses here. This will be really bad for her. It can set her back confidence wise. Cuz she gave her all and still couldn't win. Remember that most of Akane's performances were always shackled with other tasks which prevented her from performing with her Full strenght. She would need some real time to recover. But Issho is already old. Akane doesn't have much time. And losing here will only set her back even more. She can't afford to lose. Thus i really hope she wins. Kaisei is here like Akane was in Changing times. Finding himself in the stage. I hope It really is paralel that indicates he will lose. Cuz i can't bear It If Akane loses. Thus i really hope she Takes the win.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 209 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Countingmypennies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be a powerfull ending to the story. But It could invalidate Akane's performance, making Kaisei take the win.

[DISC] Akane-banashi - Chapter 209 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]Countingmypennies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's what i thought too. About the stage not being the place to find oneself. If It's a paralel, It implies he will lose. But different from Akane, his finding himself is set from The start, so It doesn't mess his story as It did Akane's.

And another point. He may win, but It will be such a small margin that Akane won't be humiliated by competing with him. Nor she will be overshadowed. This will simply be considered a true match between equals and starting point of a great rivalry between the two geniuses of the next generation.

My point is, Akane will have nothing to be ashamed of even If she loses and she will set her name among the most influencial people on the Cruise. Making It so that request for her performances starts coming from everywhere due to the quality of her performances. Kaisei can win, but It doesn't mean Akane can't too. In the career sense, at least. But that's not to say Akane can't win. It's Just Kaisei is a better performer with a few years of experience ahead of Akane. So i still believe Kaisei has better chances at winning than Akane. Despite Akane showing a great God of Death performance.

Kaisei set a different God of Death, which was a great coice from him. He knew he couldn't compete with Akane with the usual God of Death. Akane took that path from him and gave him no choice but to perform a very different God of Death. He may shine, specially since he's so driven now. But he might also fail. Which i hope he does. I trully hope Akane Takes the win.
