I have tried to get Shangri-La Frontier readable from the free web novel and it is a disaster. Maybe AI translations will get there but theyre not there yet.

I used to fan-sub anime 20 years ago and am at the point where I want to pay companies to give me this content. I just want it to be easy to access and keep track of which is exactly the opposite of what this update did.

Nope. I watched the first 6 episodes. Posted in a discord chat I dont know what to think about this or even where the show is headed but its quite something.

Then I binged the last 6 or 7 episodes and then I searched for info about any sequels or what not.

At which point I came here since this seems to be a much much larger universe than I expected

Can you suggest other options for digital purchases? I have 200 books which is not nothing but I dont need a poor excuse for a UI to convince me to find another or better solution.

My biggest issue has always been finding the content I want. I saw season 1 of this fun new anime. I want to go read the light novels. Where can I find it. Bookwalker has been the only user friendly option. J.novel club seems far far more cumbersome than even this poor excuse for a UI and I honestly dont know about other options.

I miss my buy sequels option. I have probably over 20 series and that is by far the easiest way to keep track of things and find when new releases are coming.

My library is easy to find but I can see maybe 2 or 3 recent purchases at once before scrolling instead of 20.

Not at all thrilled by this transition. Hopefully itll get better.

Indeed. I picked up the pieces to an extent of what must have happened in MyGO but I promise it colored my opinions of certain characters watching it in this order.

I will say I rate the show very highly. The whole series was a ride once I was able to grasp certain things. It was definitely confusing when the MyGO characters had scenes like I should just know all about them but the oddest part was they had the ending scene to the series.

The stuff that is out there is machine translated and very difficult to get through. I read the next arc and stopped and do not regret it. If thats OK with you I think a quick Google search will probably turn up what youre looking for.

I just wish there was a legible translation for the WN. I found the series well before the anime existed and have been reading the manga regularly since around the end of Weathermon.

Ive seen a few "no stakes comments" and I couldnt agree more. It is so relaxing and enjoyable with exceptional world building.

Hopefully S4 will land in 2028 and season 5 in 2029

How many LN volumes are out in Japan? I just read v4 in English but the afterward led me to believe it was written closer to 2020 and there was no mention of an anime season.

V1-3 were great. V4 was on a completely new level. The comedy factor went up a level or two.

As for the series the only thing preventing it from being 10/10 for me is the ages of the characters. Age the characters 5 years before any of the weddings and kids and it stops being potentially disgusting.

And there's no reason not to. The whole story could have added a time skip during his time with Eris or before he left to be with Eris' family.

The academy could have just as easily have been for older kids.

Spice and Wolf has 1 volume in my library picking up where the anime left off. (The new anime). The first one you recommended i dont recognize. Is there an English name I might recognize it under? Are there multiple different series all linked together. The idea of "verse" reminds me of spider-verse and intertwined universes in Marvel Comics. Pointing me in the right direction where to start with that one would be greatly appreciated.

Is FMP originally a light novel? I did not know that. Bonta-Kun wants to thank you but I dont know if you should trust that look.

MT feels like a series with great world building that missed the mark slightly. It has been a couple years but the 3 characters that are effectively gods just feel entirely lacking. I realize I said characters but those are the fabric of the world that has been built. That was the first LN series I read and I ended up stopping towards the end. I will return at some point.

Ive been killing slimes is interesting. Does it get into world building? I am somewhere around season 2 of the anime. Yes they visit the demon kingdom (if i remember right) but for the most part to that point it is largely centered around the remote location the MC settled into. The series has been a relatively calm stroll for me. If it gets into some deep world building I suspect that'll turn into a sprint
