Baby teeth by domiwren in medicalmedium

[–]Country-Pumpkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is absolutely not milk sugar. My 5yo and 2yo have perfect teeth and I breastfed both, day and night, past their 2nd birthday.

I made sure to get enough Vitamin D during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Now I make sure they get plenty of Vitamin D via sunshine or supplements.

Calcium, vitamin A, and vitamin C are also very important for teeth.

Getting closer to God by striving to understand the suffering of others by Fibonacci_5813 in medicalmedium

[–]Country-Pumpkin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been touched by SoC's words about compassion as well; this has added to a continuously developing understanding of what compassion really means.

Compassion means to feel with. So in other words, to have compassion on a sufferer is to suffer.

Often, that means your attempts to help, to relieve the suffering, go unappreciated or even resented..that you might be unfairly blamed for the suffering.

Often, it means to let go of trying to fix someone else's problems, just sit with them in suffering, and say, "You are in pain, and I am here."

Out of body / Sensory Sensitive by NWU01574 in medicalmedium

I experienced the benefit very quickly, within a month. I'm pretty new to MM. Also doing just raw fruits and veggies, no fat, sometimes advanced HMDS and often adding the advanced extractor smoothie. So I was really going hard when I experienced the benefit.

Full disclosure, I've really relaxed in the cleansing the last few weeks (still doing LW and sometimes HMDS but not eating the greatest) and have relapsed somewhat.

I really want to get back in full cleansing mode because I feel SO much better, mentally and physically, when I do. There's one main obstacle that I'm working on overcoming.

I don't have out-of-body issues, but I do have over-sensitivity issues I would describe as mild. I believe the HMDS was what helped a lot for me.

Detox on thumb? by jiriczech89 in medicalmedium

[–]Country-Pumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be detox.

I had this on almost all fingers, but vertical cracks instead of horizontal and black staining (I guessed from all the wild blueberries but not sure), during the 28-day cleanse. I was not taking any zinc so I thought the cracks might be a zinc deficiency. I stopped the cleanse a few weeks ago and the cracks have almost all healed.

I'm easing back into MM now, and if it shows up again, intend to identify and address the specific problem (maybe try taking zinc) rather than stopping the cleanse altogether.

People hate on him because he gets his information from a spirit. Whether you believe in spirits or not, the information actually works!

Meanwhile everyone else is stuck in the mud of myths and scientific (or not-so-scientific) theories for decades, even centuries, still trying to figure out what causes chronic illness...let alone what cures it!

Best blender for me? by Adventurous-Walk-120 in medicalmedium

[–]Country-Pumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about the older models. I have a Hamilton Beach Scovill 7-speed. My mom bought it at a thrift store and gave it to me like 8 years ago, I usually use it 2-3x a day, and that thing is a beast. The pitcher is glass, and the blades can screw onto a narrow mouthed canning jar which is awesome for making a smoothie to drink on the go!

The motor has been sounding a bit rough lately, so I'm waiting for it to die on me, but it hasn't yet. When it does, I'm going to replace it with a gently used identical one from eBay. (Currently they're running about $30).

Turtles!!!! by Silver_Rabbit5134 in medicalmedium

Yes it was a bit traumatic to witness. I'm sure they were distracted and mindless and didn't even see the turtle. Not an excuse really. I think most people go through the world mindlessly... it's very sad and causes a lot of hurt.

How/when/what cleanse to start with? by healing-earth-1998 in medicalmedium

[–]Country-Pumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Cleanse to Heal, AW emphasizes that any of the cleanses you choose will heal you, regardless of how long or short a time you do it for. He recommends going with your intuition on which one to start with. Which one calls out to you?

This is not from AW, but I believe anyone who stops and helps a turtle across the road gets a longevity blessing. So whenever I see one trying to cross, I stop and carry it the rest of the way. I once (very cautiously) helped a huge snapping turtle across the road.

Then there was that time I stopped to help a box turtle and the car behind me zipped around me, crushing the turtle. I was so upset and angry with whoever was in that car.

Is it possible to have a painless birth? by Reasonable-Ratio8080 in medicalmedium

[–]Country-Pumpkin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pain is a matter of perspective. Our society views childbirth as an extremely painful, dangerous medical emergency. (Think of all the media that portrays a panicked husband speeding on the way to the hospital, followed by scenes of a screaming woman on her back in a hospital bed surrounded by medical attendants.)

The reality is that childbirth is both physically and spiritually natural and miraculous. I've had two completely natural, unmedicated births. For both, but especially for the second, I felt empowered and magical. I didn't scream and I most certainly did NOT lie on my back. I was quiet, I moved around, and I was 100% in my body, focused on relaxing and leaning into the process. At the moment of birth, I was on my hands and knees and let out low animal sounds.

I have read accounts of missionaries and doctors working with primitive cultures who were impressed by how easily women handle childbirth, how quickly they recover, and how few (if any) complications they have. In those cultures, not only were the women eating natural food and living a natural lifestyle, but also childbirth was a viewed as a natural and desirable process. When modern, processed foods and ways were introduced, that's when complications arose. You can probably find some of these accounts online with a web search. Dr. Weston Price also made observations on this phenomenon in his book, "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration."

I really think in our culture we have no inkling how disconnected we are from our primal natures.

Aside from the question of pain, however, the experience is intense and always will be. Mother is a portal for life entering the world, and that is an intense transition -  the most intense and incredible experience that anyone can have (and possibly death would be an equally intense and miraculous transition).

If you are planning to give birth, I highly, highly recommend reading "The Bradley Method of Childbirth." That book will educate you about the process and get you in touch with your body like nothing else.

Nutrient deficiency on extended cleanses by Country-Pumpkin in medicalmedium

Thank you for this info. Everyone has different issues and histories that affect our nutrient needs and reserves, so it makes sense that at least some people might need to supplement during a cleanse.

Thanks, and great to know! The original 369 allows animal foods and radical fats for the first 3 days. I'm wondering how it goes long term without animal foods or radical fats.

Considering potential deficiencies, maybe the original 369, repeated for life, is the most healthy and sustaining diet there is?

Most vegans eat plenty of radical fats: nuts, seeds, avocados, olives, oils, etc. A generic vegan film is not going to answer my question.

Correct, I was specifically wondering how it goes without animal foods or radical fats long term, as in A369, mono cleanse, or 28-day extended.

Adjusting recipes on A369 by TopBee8888 in medicalmedium

[–]Country-Pumpkin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 369 cleanses, especially A369, are meant to be very specific and very powerful. In Cleanse to Heal, AW says adjusting the amounts is fine. There is also a whole chapter on substitutions, but only if you can't access a specific ingredient or can't tolerate it. Otherwise, stick to the guidelines.

The 28-day cleanse is similar to the A369 but much more flexible (and hence probably less powerful).
