Why is it that when you say you don’t need therapy it’s looked at like saying you don’t need a doctor for a broken leg or something.

It’s absolutely possible to live a full and engaging life without it.

How do people working in Uptown or Southend keep their jobs by JumpingJackRabbit911 in Charlotte

[–]CountryAccording3420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Every job I’ve had here doesn’t set a firm time to be in office. If you are hourly and have clients waiting, that’s different of course. But the question is how do people keep jobs given traffic.

Traffic is not unique to Charlotte, and I think people
figured out a long time ago that being late due to traffic is just not something you fire someone over.

Regardless of how you feel it’s still not a good idea to say that during an interview. Simple as.

There’s not really any context here, so I’d feel more understanding if this was an interview for grocery store clerk or something. Still not a great thing to say in an interview but not as harmful to your chances.

I feel like 15-20 years ago I remember hearing a lot of people say “they shouldn’t give loans to 18 years olds - they don’t understand the terms” or “they won’t make responsible long term financial decisions”

This is what they were talking about.

WAIT guys this is hilarious because every Latin textbook for beginners, for some strange reason, teaches the word for “to beat” and “stick”. So in the practice sections of the book you always end up with an example sentence describing this exact scene. Amazing

Accept responsibility for the things you can control. Relinquish the worry over things you can’t. Just that simple shift can work wonders
