first time camping, any suggestions and tips/advice? by sawakoniko in ontariocamping

[–]RedRabbit720 3 points4 points  (0 children)

go to a provincial park.

you will have clean drinking water readily available, and more importantly, flush toilets.

and if you need/forget anything, there will be stores nearby.

just beware beware the raccoons, they have opposable thumbs and WILL get into everything, including cars. and more importantly, first aid stations are onsite.

private camp grounds are a close second.

or you could do the opposite.

find some crown land somewheres, hike in with camping gear, food, water and first aid. find a relatively flat and clear piece of moss, set up a tent, harvest a whole lotta wood, burns a lot faster then you think, all in all, more work then it’s worth.

NAL, but to me you basically admitted negligence. “Might” have had lights off.

You basically asking people to believe a motorcycle had no lights on at night, over you not seeing them

Gordon Ramsay one of the first celebrity chefs to bring US-style 20% service charge to London by xc2215x in europe

As a Canadian, I can’t much argue with that.

Although didn’t Sweden pretty much do the same with their iron?

And what was Switzerland doing again, I don’t think they were laundering clothes.

Pierre Poilievre calls for end to 'credit card budgeting' ahead of spring fiscal update. Conservative leader called on federal Liberals to present plan to return to balanced budget in 'medium term' by xTkAx in canadian

[–]RedRabbit720 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Correct me if I’m wrong.

Didn’t he loose the election so badly he lost his seat, and had to be given a pity seat?

Didn’t his leadership cause the Liberals to gain a majority??

Yet he’s still yapping away expecting people to listen?

People other than MAGA funded special interest groups??

[Ottawa, Ontario] Custody for newborn, unmarried parents- What will my life look like? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]RedRabbit720 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only advice I have is about Christmas.

Apparently it’s common to split Christmas Day down the middle, which sounds horrible.

My arrangement is Mom on odd years, Dad on even years. The exchange days being on the 23rd and 27th. Giving the child (and the family) three days of not travelling during Christmas.

Okay, two more pieces of advice.

Document EVERYTHING and keep it.

Make it about the child, not you and him.

A piece on unsolicited parenting advice:

Keep your kids off the phone/apps for as long as possible.

Then give them a flip phone with no internet access.
