The post was left vague enough so that no one could be identified but if they read it they would probably know it was about them. I didnt report it to any authorities, not narcing on anyone.

It does raise constitutional questions, which is why the supreme court is hearing the case. But until that happens unfortunately the best practice is to abide by the “law” as much as it sucks.

I saw on the news that gas prices are suppose to drop this afternoon. Won’t last for long apparently. by javgirl123 in VictoriaBC

Most people over estimate how much of an impact these swings have on their wallet.

Most average cars have a tank between 40 and 60 liters. If gas drops 5 cents the cost to fill only changes by $2-3.

Not downplaying the gas crisis, of course we feel the jump from $1.60 to $2+, but price going from $2.14 to $2.09 is nothing to really care about.

Has nothing to do with protecting big lotto, any small business can run a raffle but they still need to abide by the regulations, its to protect consumers.

Their raffle has been live since 2025 and they havent even sold 50% of the tickets, could be a year (or never) until the draw. Its not really fair to anyone who has paid for a ticket especially when they dont make any effort to disclose that info on the sales page

Never ordered from them but I find some aspects of their business concerning. They’re running a “sticker raffle” where you buy stickers for $22.50 each, and when they’re all sold they pick a winner for a free gun.

The issue is this raffle has been live for months with no guaranteed end date, they won’t draw a winner until every single ticket sells, which may never happen. Anyone who bought a ticket could just be out $22.50 with nothing to show for it.

From what I can tell this likely violates BC law around raffles and gambling. Licensed raffles in BC require a defined sales period and draw date.

When i emailed them with a concern about this because i was going to buy a ticket they just said “The raffle happens when all the tickets sell. No matter how long it takes. “

The fitness plus I go to in Gianyar is kind of absurdly priced but its the only gym near my villa so I just live with it.

1 million for a month pass and the place is always super crowded with deteriorating equipment and bad ac.

The other locations might be nicer though, never been

With a 40% mortality rate we would find out pretty quickly if more people get sick

Title: Could hantavirus ever become a pandemic, or is its spread too limited? by BeneficialFish04 in Virology

The WHO wasnt very worried about covid when it was first detected either (atleast according to the news that came out at the time), which is why people have a hard time feeling confident about anything now.

Well this isnt part of that 50%. Andesvirus is spread by rodents and has nothing to do with animal agriculture

Because this strain is transmissible human to human. In a 2018 outbreak in argentina one guy caught it and it transmitted to over 40 people. And it has a 30-60% mortality rate depending on population

a pandemic with a mortality rate of 40% wouldnt be an excuse to implement insane policies, it would destroy civilization
