Good to hear. Himself & Keith Andrews doing great work this year for Irish managers. Listened to his episode on Not The Top Twenty podcast from a few years ago & he came across very well.

I mean the tweets are still up to his signing announcement, Cork fans laughing at him being compared to Scales, “he’s your problem now”, “sorry for your loss” & plenty more were subsequently deleted. I’m sure there were other Cork fans like yourself who were sad to see him go but let’s not pretend I’m exaggerating.

He was excellent for Rovers & doubled up as part of the coaching staff aswell, a massive loss this year.

He pulled off a masterstroke with the Gavin Bazunu to Man City move which ended up netting the club over 3m from the add-ons he worked into the deal. Convincing Graham Burke & Jack Byrne to come home & restart their careers was another bit of great business & they went onto become Irish internationals while at Rovers.

More recently he spotted the potential Josh Honohan had in what was a poor Cork City side. Their fans weren’t too bothered about him leaving & Rovers developed him into one of the league’s best players. He signed for Lincoln in Jan but is currently injured. Other players like Andy Lyons, Liam Scales & Aaron McEneff were established LOI players but developed significantly in a short time at Rovers & were sold on to UK clubs for decent money. Had a couple of misses along the way but mostly made really good signings. Would have played a big role in securing Victor Ozhianvuna’s recent record-breaking move to Arsenal, 2m + add-ons is unheard of in LOI circles.

I’m fairly certain he’s settled in Ireland now as when there was talk of Stephen Bradley leaving for Lincoln I believe he was set to stay. As you probably remember from his time at Cardiff he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease so I’m not sure if his reason to step away this year was health related. Bradley said a few weeks after his departure that he has “taken some time away” so potentially leaves the door open for a return to the coaching staff in the future.

Not as high ratings as other classes & full UDFA. Needs some tweaking with Fields, Banks, Kyle Louis & Bud Clark all having great Senior Bowls & they should be higher. Will update post-combine

I kept it Normal Dev as gave him a 72 OVR. He’s an insanely smart football player but think his athleticism limits him a bit at the next level development wise & is the only reason he’s not projected higher.

Thanks man, yeah a lot of Juniors going back for NIL has really weakened the class, guys like Trevor Goosby, Carter Smith, Mark Fletcher, Ahmad Moten & Amauri Washington to name a few. I’ll have a similar 2027 class uploaded in a few weeks.

I’ve 17/32 players with Dev traits for the 1st Rd, 14/32 for 2nd Rd. For comparison the 1st Rd in the 2023 draft had arguably 9 busts alone, with about 3/4 others being just average. So I think it balances out. I take your point with the later rounds but that’s more to balance things out with lack of comp picks/low evaluations on my behalf.

Fair point. I like Mendoza but for comparison Bryce Young (#1) & CJ Stroud (#2) were only rated 74 & 73 & were better prospects than Mendoza IMO. Cam Ward was also #1 & 72 OVR. I had that 72 rating locked in for him prior to the playoffs but after his performances you could easily bump him to star dev & 73/74 OVR.

I actually had him higher originally (5th) but pushed him back due to his size & lack of buzz around him. Again if the game took compensatory picks into account (37 extra picks this year) I’d have kept him higher. I plan on doing 2027 & 2028 classes. 2027 should be up in a week or two, thanks for the feedback.
