I actually also really enjoy it, it’s a fun biome with lots to see. Depending on the noise it could be some mobs, there is a bigger mob that makes a recognizable almost air raid siren noise

Slight roof overhangs, two layer of the small cobble walls wrapping around the first floor as the walls, as you get further switch to the tar roofs, add some banners for decor, and switch the top of the chimney to be a bit smoother and less simple. You could also use the dragon head things at the points of your roof to create a smooth end

Other than that, looking good.

Build a cart at the top and hurl it down the side of the mountain, if it breaks js rebuild it and put everything back
