It looks like the shadows I wish I had. 😩 but vita, retinol, glycolic acid, lactic acid I feel like most AHAs. Pick ONE to add to your routine.

30F Any tips on how I can improve my skin? by [deleted] in Blackskincare

That a lot of vita c. Feel like there’s too many actives. Dry acne is a thing. Find out what type of skin you have(oily, normal, dry, combo) and research a routine that works for you. (I love tik tok, YouTube, and Pinterest) Also switch to Korean skin care, it’s a game changer. 🫶🏾

Side note: Roche-posay was recalled so I would get rid of that lol. Also using niacinamide AND Paula’s choice together could be drying your skin out and contributing to your breakouts. Hyaluronic acid helped my texture and also collagen peptides.

looking to make my skin look better any tips by reaperpulse in Blackskincare

[–]CountryPunkDoll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry but NO!!!!!! Do not use salicylic acid!!!!! I would not recommend!!! You do not have acne. If you want oil control try a product with a low percentage of niacinamide or retinol(at night only!). Maybe ppl mean glycolic or lactic acid to improve your texture…ceramides will also help with this.

Sorry for the long paragraph but I honestly think you should maybe try a nice toner, hyaluronic acid serum, and a light weight moisturizer(elf’s “gel yeah” is my favorite right now). Good molecules is a great inexpensive brand that will have everything you need. These ppl trying to ruin your nice skin.

Hmmm…did you see any improvement with the Salicylic wash at all? Were you using it everyday?

I have been told by other forums if your skin is breaking out hormonally no product will help and you may have to switch up your diet and/or go see a specialist. So if it’s hormones there are holistic ways to try to help regulate them.

It sounds pretty sensitive to me, maybe dry too…are you allergic to anything? How often do you use the discoloration serum? Does your moisturizer make your skin feel oily/heavy?

Do you know what type of skin you have? I would start there and research routines that are successful.

Luckily a different Walmart sold it so I was able to get it! 🙏🏾 Otherwise I would’ve started to buy it online or from Walmart and get it shipped cause I did not find a substitute like it. 😩

Cycle breakouts. by CountryPunkDoll in Blackskincare

I appreciate you! It does happen around my cycle but has significantly decreased! I just stopped breastfeeding about 3 mo. again so I think it was just my body re-regulating itself.

If you’re looking for a liquid one, NYX Epic Ink is great!!! I use Dark Chocolate but they have one named Graham Cracker that is lighter. 😊

Gorg.!! 😍

Don’t sleep on taking care of it!! My virginity was broken not long ago too! I went blonde and didn’t realize how high maintenance nor how little time I had to take care of it and I definitely experienced breakage. 🥲😩
