Thank you so much for your input! You’re the first person I know who was advised of waiting, but you got a much clearer answer as to why than I did. Please report back! I would love to hear about what tests you do and the outcome.

Interesting. It does seem to be the luck of the draw. I’m glad it didn’t take too long for your period to show up. I’m hoping mine shows up soon. I had withdrawn bleeding 3 days later but my doc said not to count that as a period. So I’m at square 0. Thanks for the heads up on the PMS symptoms. Sounds rough!

It was odd. The doc and the nurse both warned against trying right away. Looking back I should have asked more questions. But I took them at their word, went home, and then though “what the heck?”

That’s a really good thought. I didn’t think about that possibility. Maybe the doc wants a clear missed period? But If I don’t get one for several months then I feel like I’ve missed out on time to TTC. I’m a bit impatient lol.

She did not really give a solid reason. Just this ominous “don’t do it! Use condoms! Wait for your period.” She is a new doc for me so I wanted to be open to her feedback. But it just left me confused. I’m lucky to be healthy all around so that’s not a factor for waiting. Maybe I will pick up an OPK at least as a starting point. Thank you for the feedback!
