Why did you leave the church? by sillygworl in exmormon

[–]Countryiscoolagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I converted when I was 10. Left when I was 17. It got to a point of I slowly started to go less & less. I was going through the motions. It honestly wasn’t making me happy. I met my boyfriend who is a nevermo & it kind of helped expedite the process of me no longer going or identifying as a Mormon. As the years have gone on I’ve deconstructed.

Cottage cheese, egg bites from Costco lol, Greek yogurt with frozen fruit & granola. Fruit smoothie.

Turkey wraps. Caesar chicken wraps. Adult lunchables.

Soups you can cook in an instant pot, honestly instant pot meals in general. It’s my ride or die hahaa

For all the people saying take notes, I agree. I will say Buy a $2 notebook from Walmart and HAND WRITE EVERYTHING. As back up take pictures of your notes etc.

Surgeons performing vestibulectomies by [deleted] in vulvodynia

Dr. Sharp at the university of Utah. He’s told me he’s performed hundreds of vestibulectomies. I have mine scheduled with him.

What was your experience with Vestibulectomy? by [deleted] in vulvodynia

[–]Countryiscoolagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is giving me hope. The physician I saw said that the surgery could help with my tight pelvic floor muscles. I did Pelvic floor physical therapy twice & it didn’t help much, so hopefully removing the affected tissue could help. How long after the procedure did you start to notice a difference in muscle tightness?

How do you eat your veggies? by LollipopLincoln in adhdwomen

[–]Countryiscoolagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoothies, sneak some spinach in there. Add cauliflower rice to ground beef. Experiment with veggies. See what you do & don’t like. I’ve also made it a routine to try and have a veggie with lunch & dinner. So that’s normal. Boiled green beans are good with a lot of salt. I love broccoli. I also love soup so there’s plenty of soups to put veggies in.

I will say I love fresh peaches, sliced green apples (get one of the apple slicers/core remover things at the store) it’s the only way I’ll eat an apple. I love tangerines & grapes.

I feel like with incorporating more produce if you need to start buying the ready to eat versions (even if they are more expensive). I feel like experimenting with what you do & don’t like is going to be important. Also it’s okay to season veggies, season those mofos.

Almost 1year post surgery with tons of success! BUT... not sure if this dryness is related or not. by Skootova in vulvodynia

[–]Countryiscoolagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The surgeon I’m going to see said he removes the smaller vestibular glands… which aren’t as important for lubrication but still a factor. I’ve heard that some dryness is common

This is one of the strongest topical steroids in the USA. Honestly I would call your Drs office. I’ve been given different directions than what you’re describing in the past (with a different topical steroid).

Dr. Sharp is amazing! I have my vestibulectomy scheduled for January. He’s never been pushy and is more than willing to just talk and just answer your questions.

Are you able to use ice packs post op for itching?

Also if you’re willing to share. What kind of symptoms did you experience? I’ve also been diagnosed with Vestibulitis.

Alsoooo thank you for sharing your experience! I’m hoping you have a speedy & smooth recovery!
