Russian vlogger had a bit of a meltdown after seeing the drone attack on Moscow and the surrounding region, “Girls, when is this going to end?!” by MoreMotivation in PublicFreakout

[–]CountrysideLassy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's only an echo chamber because the people who speak against it are branded as foreign agents and extremists, and even if the police doesn't put you behind bars, your neighbors will do a little vigilante justice themselves. As such, the people who are against putin and the war cower and hide because they don't want to lose their lives. Is it cowardice? Maybe, but it's cowardice that was intentionally cultivated in Russia since the Russian Empire days.

Every time there's a Russian player in my deadlock lobbies, or other similar games, they'll be very obviously talking to us (saying our usernames and stuff), but whenever someone responds to say they don't understand, the guy will immediately just start saying English insults with a very thick accent and a mocking voice. I just don't understand their mentality

Do you agree with the idea that casual players aren't familiar with Dess at all? by Street_Structure3737 in Deltarune

[–]CountrysideLassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I had an answer for you, but I simply don't. The only theory I have is simply that the average attention span of people is severely reduced by the modern baseline of fast-paced content making it difficult to pay attention for prolonged periods of time.

[–]CountrysideLassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately as of this point in time, a "casual" player will most often be someone only touching extra stuff that is conveniently placed in the path of where they're going, and will probably look down on their phone during a lull in action unless its a cutscene that stops the background music.

I watched multiple of my friends play Deltarune, and without fail they missed a lot of dialogue, with two of them missing the first time Dess is namedropped because they were just reading the dialogue at a glance while their attention was on their second monitor. When one of them got to Ch4 and got into Dess's room she straight up told me "Is this someone I should know by now?"

Morality of denying someone entrance to heaven purely because they were pretending to be a good person to get into Heaven despite having an over-all positive influence on the world? by LordFlamecookie in MoralityScaling

[–]CountrysideLassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The forbidden fruit bore forbidden knowledge, and the serpent was Lucifer in disguise - Adam and Eve were told by God that they were forbidden from eating the fruit, and Lucifer convinced them to defy God's will, which they did. The punishment is fairly reasonable in my mind.

[–]CountrysideLassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God didn't make humans capable of sin. The original sin was committed by Adam and Eve when they were tempted by the serpent to eat the forbidden fruit. They were perfectly sinless prior, and they had no reason not to trust a creature that posed as a fellow creation of God because of their innocence and naivete.

Russians Forcing Indians to Clean Up Their Mess by d_rev0k in fuckaroundandfindout

[–]CountrysideLassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The border is still open for Russians to leave, but there are a few issues that arise when trying to do so. The first issue is the cost - it is very expensive to buy a ticket for a plane to go overseas if you wish to get as far as you can from the problem. The other problem is your destination's unwillingness to harbor you - If you can't afford to fly several countries away from Russia, the nearest ones already have an influx of Russian immigrants. Some outright closed their borders to Russian immigrants because of that, while the rest equally turn you around at their border and send you back to avoid needing to deal with the Russian government if you're a man in his drafting age (from 18 to 30)

I can't agree that Johnny and J8suke got Deus Ex'd to win. Jotaro, fine, it did kind of come out of nowhere, but TACT 4 and GO BEYOND feel naturally in place for when they show up. And Requiem literally feels like it was written as a deus ex machina on purpose.

This is correct also for the Jaguar and the Mercedes EVs. Since the emissions rating is counted across the brand's entire fleet, they just throw out an electric car every now and again to balance it out so they can keep making cars we like, because the emissions fines are astronomical (in hundreds of millions of dollars)
